And if you think that a car that is selling cheap by a dealer blowing out of it will change the whole market place then you are a bigger idiot .We are a club we should be letting guys know of good deals.

My post is telling him that calling people idiots (unless they are friends), probably isnt the greatest idea.

The 3 I called idiots (as a joke) happen to be 3 of my favorite people on this forum and in this club, and 3 guys I have tons of respect for. Maybe you dont know me, the harassing we all do to each other or the guys I speak of, but I would call them all idiots to their faces, and would be more then ok and even laugh, if they called me one to mine, I consider all 3 of them friends... It's an EBAY auction with over two days to go and the current bid is $65,000. In no way does that mean this is a great deal at that price, it could end up no where or to the moon. What it is, is a great lead to an auction, and in no way values the year Viper mentioned.

The odds of that car going for MSRP or near are VERY slim. We will watch and see.

I like what the dealers ad says...

...but where did the 400 miles on the odometer come from? I'm sure it was an easy 400 mile engine break-in! I feel much better that he is a five-star Chevy,Kia & Cadillac dealer! So please bid with confidence!

ACR Steve, I firmly believe you wouldn't go around calling people idiots - especially ones who you don't know. Saying what you feel (to me calling someone an idiot is an insult) is one thing but having to deal with the consequences of your ations is another. All I'm saying is just as I replied to F355's post in a respectable manner, some of us on this forum expects the same. So please, don't be an "idiot" by saying that you would disrespect someone even in person especially if you don't know this person. I don't think you'd like the outcome.

I am surprised people get upset about the bargain prices currently out there for new Vipers. If you are trying to sell one, comments here really don't effect the market value of your car - it is what the market will bear.

I can't imagine selling mine and am surprised at the number of low mileage cars for sale. I got my new '04 on June 7 from my local Dodge dealer for $72,500 which was close enough to the lowest price I had seen at that time on a sold eBay auction of $69,995 for me. It had 21 miles when I ferryed it from a Wisconsin dealer back to my home town.

I think its great that new Vipers can be had so much below MSRP and invoice. I further believe it is GREAT that the Z06 came out for 2 reasons: it has put downward pressure on new purchase prices and it should push DC to offer stronger Vipers in the future, although 500 HP is fine for me on the street.

I look forward to running out the 7/70 mile warranty in the years ahead!! (I have already ENJOYED close to 6000 miles.)

Yes it does acutally. I feel much better knowing that my car did not loose $15K in the first year. I would love to get one but just does not even come close to the stying of the GEN II and is as easy as a Civic to drive.
