You driving and having fun not hurting a soul :drive:
You see lights flashing in your mirror :(
Cop walks up and says... "how fast were you going?" :D

That's it, right? :lmao2:

That's what cops do instead of getting the drug dealers and gangstas and pedifiles and thiefs and rapists and other criminals,......They have to pull over guys in sports cars and hassle them. ...it's just an easier way to pass the time before the shift change............so, if you are a criminal, you are in the clear. if you drive a flashy car, ...watch out for the cops.

You know...if you set your side mirrors correctly, you don't need those goofy little blind spot mirrors. Just saying...

I was thinking the OP was saying something like...

'I was telling my buddy that I got pulled over by a cop and.....he asked...How fast were you going?'
or
'I was telling a co-worker that I got pulled over by a cop and...they asked...How fast were you going?'

...not the cop asking...wouldn't the cop know already. :dunno:

You are correct sir.

I just noticed that, looks like they would be very annoying & of little benefit! jmo!

IMHO they are very benifitful. But to each their own.

The cops ask you because if you admit to doing even one mph over the limit they got you.
More often than not, by being honest and admitting you knew you were over will go a long way to either a warning or a 'have a nice day'. Lying simply ****** him/her off (just like when your kid lies to you). JMHO

+1 Grisoman.

However, Chucks logic does work with DUI checkpoint scenarios...

Even if you had a glass of wine with dinner say: "No officer I have not had any alcohol to drink tonight"

30 years ago I'd agree with you. These days, no.
