With that cam and lifters? Save your $$ and do be careful with the nos and forced air apps. You haven't met the "forged horsemen" yet have you? Where has Ralph been lately?

btw -- the first year for Viper Short Tube headers was '98

I am having a hard time trying to justify them in my own mind and certainly wouldn't try to convince you to do them. As Marv pointed out, with the new cam profile of the '00+ cars, you just don't realize as much of a gain as the previous motors did. For me, $3K for +/-16 horsepower just isn't worth it. Let us know what you end up doing and if it makes any difference!

Doesn't the heat offset the benefits.........Talk To Me

The Viper motors from 98+ have shorty "emissions" headers, not Performance headers !

Long tube stainless headers, especially uncoated ones, can be underhood heat dragons as you mentioned. They DO produce far more HP than OEM exhaust manifolds.

A great compromise header, easier to install, less heat, and great street performance and torque, is the Tri-Y design from Belanger. And, they SOUND great.

Sold? E-me or call for mor, and a greta price on Belangers.
I also have one set of USED SVP-Stainless Tri-Ys if on a budget.
$1295 !!
