Windshield crack

[V10 ACR]

Argghhhh!. Pulled the Copperhead out of the garage this morning. Everything was fine. Waited 5 min for her to warm up. Hopped in and there is an 8 inch crack 3/4 of the way up on the passenger side. It wasn't there when I took the cover off in the garage. I looked more closely and it looks like a tiny pinpoint size chip right where the black masking ends. The sun must have caused it to expand and cause the crack. Anyway, now I need a new windshield (only 4,014 miles!). What is your recomendations? Do I get a glass co or do I go to the dealer?

Found this in a search and be glad you were not picture number two. We got to see that one in person in Jasper(Hi Greg!). Maybe contact others from your club-get some referrals in your area of So Cal.

Whether you go to a dealer or not, dealerships normally contract local glass shops to replace windshields. There is nothing special about replacing a Viper windshield. And last I checked, the OE glass was the only type available (no aftermarket glass available) which is a good thing.
