Here's my winter Viper project before and after shots. Man that stock box is UGLY.
I had the tubes made of stainless steel and polished them.
The filters are open ended S&B Big Mouths.
I also made the heat sheild so some of the direct radiator heat does not **** directly into filters

Very nice work. I like the polished tubes. I must do that someday.

What part of Cincinnati are you in?

Maybe we can get together and swap Ideas.

Thanks guys.

I'd like to get together sometime Toby, I posted in your Cincy thread.

Touque, I intend to do some comparisons on power etc. with my Gtech when weather gets nicer.

Losing HP ?

Looks awesome, but it looks to me like you are picking up the air from inside the engine compartment. Big HP loss if you are due to compartment heat. If you are getting cool out side air only, that is a very trick set up.

Re: Losing HP ?

I imagine it can't avoid some heat from the engine compartment, I hope the heat sheild will stop direct blow from the radiator and fans.

The cones face right into the stock air tunnels coming up from the grille so hopefully it will pick up a good portion of outside air instead of inside air when in motion.

I have to go now, but I'll post a another picture later.

Here's a better picture of how the filters relate to the stock air tunnels:
