My acetone suggestion went into the kook file so I'm going to help you guys out for the sake of those that missed it

Those that believe me and act will be rewarded - the rest can laugh (prove they are right in their heads) and pay more for their fuel - either is cool with me.

My latest test vehicle (turbo diesel SUV) had a best mpg of 25mpg before acetone added. No matter who you talk to - that's as good as it gets on this vehicle - never heard of anyone getting better than that except on the latest common rail diesels. The SUV was averaging around 22-23 mpg with worst of 19. My pre test results were spot on compared to other owners in the forums.

Adding acetone added 1mpg and power instantly. After 2000 miles however...

Last tank I got 32.5mpg, this next tank will be even better.

I got 27.7mpg even driving hard when I'd normally have got 21. Now go figure. Driving style and locations have not changed - only the fuel treatment.

That's a wopping 25% improvement while power went up so much you could actually feel it seat of pants but the stop watch confirmed it.... from just a 0.147% additive into my diesel that costs a few cents per tank!

for gas - you'd use 0.2% not 0.147%..

I've not yet had the chance to test on gas - but everyone I have reaserched that has done it properly confirms results on gas is on par with diesel.

Is that worth it?

Sure you can afford to put more gas in the Viper - but money has a value.

The savings alone will pay for you to take your wife out for dinner more often. That's worth a lot more to me than feeding the oil tyrants.

Will you get 25% more mpg after 2000 miles to clean out the crap (and changing fuel filters)? Only one way to find out - you can't hurt anything unless you mistake 0.2% for 20% or something crazy.

Test me and see if I'm right. I'm not a pioneer here, nor will you be. There's several thousand out there getting the same results quietly while the forums are lined with brainwashed "experts" who say it isn't so. It was a chemical engineer that pioneered this - he was right and the naysayers are wrong. Like water injection done right - this works.

My 99 with the stock computer normaly got 9-12mpg, no matter what I did. After I installed the AEM unit my mpg has been 15+ driving just as hard.

Russ what other benefits did you find with the AEM computer so far?

Tiger, be sure to report back on what Tator finds. I replaced my fuel filter, adjusted my tire pressure and had a fuel induction service done. I'm waiting to drive this tank of gas out to see what mileage i got. If it still *****, I'm gonna replace the o2 sensors

Obviously you checked the tire pressure. Slipping belt may be it because this has gotten way out of whack. Clean the injectors. Rip out the plugs. New Fuel Filter. New spark plug wires. New air filter. Just do the whole thing. Check the OBDII codes first for something obvious. 100 per tank is really bad. As I recall, you had about 30k on her. Time to do it anyway.

100 per tank is even worse than I was getting before i started trouble shooting. On my worst tank, I think I got 130 miles or so. Since the work, I'm at 145 miles (about 50% city and 50% hwy driving) and my gas gauge shows about exactly 1/2 tank, but we all know how accurate those things are :bonker:

....Did a little 200 mile test run yesterday before heading out this Wednesday for our 1500 mile track event trip.

Roe Blower. 50 pound injectors. 3:45 rear end. Mostly steady cruisng in 6th gear at 60-65.(55MPH speed limit)3 WOT shots from 60-125 or so in 4th gear. 15 miles town driving with a couple of WOTs. One ride to my step sons friend where I rowed through the gears a couple times to a 100 or so. Up to 90 MPH in 6th a couple times in passing lanes. Filled up when we got home---20.75 MPG. Works for me. Playing around home--short trips--I'm getting between 12-13 MPG. I usually get around 8 on a track. I'm guessing that will be considerably less with the 50 pounders at WOT.
