I have a 96 GTS with '98 manifolds, 3" Borla exhaust, Random Tech High Flow Cats and a resonator. What effect will removing the resonator what as far as volume and tone. I love the deep sound, but wish it was a bit louder.
Not sure on the resonator, but I had a company make Cat-bypasses at one point. They created a straight pipe and aircraft flanges so I could just swap the cats in and out. With them out it makes ALOT more noise. I actually found that I lose some low -end and gain high-end with the cats in compared to them out. I assume it's because of the back-preasure issues.
