Wouldn\'t it be GREAT!

If DC showed a light weight (+/- 3100 lbs.) 600+ HP Gen III Coupe in Detroit.... ? Talk about taking all the wind outta someone's sails....

........cough, cough, Z06, cough, cough.........

........cough, cough, Ford GT, cough, cough........

........cough, cough, Every other exotic under $300,000, cough, cough.......

P.S. - And since I'm wishing here, make it look more aggressive like the GTS-R/Comp. Coupe.... And if were still wishing, a blue/white color scheme or the new copperhead orange.

I would be horribly saddened if it wasn't simmular to that :( I can write so much but if I make it too long, most will skip this post. So all I can really say to make this a powerful and emotional post is that the Viper will not be the same as it once was to all the Viper nation.

Ditto...from everyone

No ditto for me. I'm hoping for a 16 cylinder 1000hp twin turbo supercharged coupe that weighs 3000 pounds. yeah. thats more like it.

The new Road & Track shows a picture of what they feel the new ('05 model) Viper Coupe will be and quotes that it will take more of its styling cues from the previous gen. GTS than the Comp. Coupe... it says the Comp. Coupe bodystyle would have been too dificult to get certified on crash testing. In addition, it says the performance will remain the same with a 500 bhb V10. Hopefully the power increase will come with the second year of production.

And a personal wish from me and maybe a few thousand others on both sides of the pond . . . . .

<font color="red">"On the 12th day of Christmas my DC gave to me, a 12 CD Changer, #11 out of 50, 10 Berlanger Pipes, 9 Color Schemes, 8 lbs. of Boost, 7 Hundred Horses, 6 Interior Schemes, 5 Whee-eel Options, 4 Moe-o-tons, 3 inch exhaust, 2 paddle shifters and a Useless Clutch Pedal in a Tree"</font> :2tu:

Road &amp; Crap shows a horrific Photoshop of an SRT-10 with an aftermarket roof. As they are lapdogs for GM, rest assured that it was no coincidence that the bastardized Viper appeared on the same page as a Z06. As they couldn't even base their "photo rendition" on the actual SRT-10 Coupe shown in Dallas and pictured everywhere, rest assured that everything else in that blurb is suspect. I don't buy their quotes for even a second about the Comp Coupe or the 500 horsepower. Expect them to have serious egg on their face in January. At least that is my humble opnion... ;)

You'll come to learn that Viper owners' trust magazines articles about as for as they can throw them.... Which isn't very far due to the arrowdynamic instibility and light weight... A little duct tape does do wonders, though.... Great for tossing at Z06 owners when passing...

COUNT ON IT !!

NOTE: I was told that SRT had a team meeting recently, and the "Fiona" post responses were copied in their entirety day-of-meeting, and all were reviewed and considered by the PVO folks responsible for crafting the final "Show Coupe" for January. I actually had some feedback on my feedback!

D-C absolutely IS listening to us............I cant WAIT to get my next COUPE.
Keep the faith.........

Re: Wouldn\'t it be GREAT!

It would make sense for them to produce something, then go on the net after showing it off, hear all the feedback and change it to what the customer wants.
