This is a site for Viper Owners/Enthusiasts. Most of us have already had our starter cars (Vettes) and have traded up. Not many looking to trade back down!

Just kidding, I have owned six Corvettes myself. You might be better selling the Vette and shopping with cash. Everyone likes to trade for cash!

Lastly, this thread will vanish in a few minutes, we have a classified section here. This is not the place for a sale ad.

I've had a few Corvette C5s. They are great cars, very refined and easy to drive.
I agree with the others. Better to sell it, and then start looking for a Viper. I found my Vettes always sold very quickly. Good luck with the sale/trade :)

I know it's a must to own a GTS. Be patient my friend and once you sell your Vette you won't regret getting the Best Supercar Ever!.
Do it quicker than ever as right now you can grab a nice GTS for pretty good price.
Sell your Vette while it's hot, and you should be able to get good money.

I had a C5 Z06 and loved it dearly. For a daily driver, it was an awesome car. Easy to drive and great mpg. My friend is still tuning his C5 TT Z06 that should make every bit of 1200. You should sell it easy. I may buy another Vette in the future for a daily driver.

What is the market price on Corvettes like this one? There is a lot of aftermarket on this one, does it affect asking price? Thought C5s were in the upper teens to low 20s, maybe I'm wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised if the guy wanted 30k for it. Some guys are asking ridiculous amounts for C5Zs. You routinely see them for sale in corvette forum in the mid 20s. This all coming at a time when dealers are marking down 2013s to 40k, and for a week one dealer was selling them for 35k.

I doubt anyone will sell their GTS for a C5... A modded C6 Z06? Maybe...

I actually sent him a PM on it. Who knows, if he were willing to throw enough cash in on the trade maybe I'd consider it. Call me a flaky GTS owner, but a well modded 2004 c5z +20k cash could draw some interest.

Thanks for the price update on the C5s. Maybe there's a typo, it should be WTT Quantity (2) C5Z06 for Quantity (1) Viper GTS.

Never mind my previous post about price, apparently these z16 z06s are worth almost 70k, lol.

No you're still correct, its not a Callaway. Reminds me of the guys that would bring their Harley's and the occasional whatever in for trade at the motorcycle dealership and bittch about the trade in price offered because "it has this and that added + $15000 in chrome", From us it was always well thanks, that's nice but its still just an 03 Road King (as an example) as far as trade value.

Never sink money into mods and expect to get any sort of return when you sell it. Most people see a heavily modded car as one that has had the crap driven out of it anyway (would you spend $30K on mods and then pamper it or make it a garage queen?).
