    gear swap.. performance increase?

    I will give some hard number on the swap soon my car runs 11.7's with the stock gear I am changeing them Thursday to 3:45's and head to the track next week.

    Adam when and wehre are you going drag racing? With my car I found the best 60' times were launching at 3000 to 3500 and then slipping the clucth was able to obtain 1.7 60' times on street tires.

    Clutch time.... any pointers???

    To remover shifter you need little hands and short wrench I believe 17 mm you will see the nut and will also have to hold the shaft from turning. Or you could go inside car and take shift knob off and pull it threw. The job is very easy and should take no more than 4 hours and that would be alot...

    The problem is that it is FED X Ground and they really don't care when it gets to you there is no structured time for delivery like FED X lesson learned if you want it within a couple of days pay the extra for FED X.

    Took CATS out and lost HP?!

    Adam, If you want to go with high flow cats I have a new set still in the box from Sean Roe. The hot temps definetely did not help with your run air quality was prbably humid as well.

    Day at the track

    Well I went to the track today it was a rental, got over 10 passes could have been more many more. Running on street tires with 1.8 60' times running 11.7's at 121 mph. Great day even with temps in the mid to upper 80's.

    Wayne, We used a wideband O2 on the dyno O2 is plugged into the header,car was driven previous to the dyno, no check engine light no detonation that I can hear but the car is pretty loud. And Wayne I called you you were out and are supposed to be returning my call when you get in. Talk to ya...

    I need a tuner in the NY NJ CT PA area who can tune my car it is running really lean from 2000 to 5000 Ispoke wiht one company hwo wanted betweeen $1600.00-$2000.00 way unrealistic IMO. Should be a 500.00-800.00 job it is on any other car. Please help.

    Adam it would be better if you used the switched power (the blue wire) and I also reccomend that you have someone shorter do the job for you, it is a back twister and you are taller than me. HAVE FUN!!

    well as an experienced owner of these tires I love them, Watkins Glen I ran 30 cold at the drag strip I run 20 to 22 pulling 1.7 60' times, I am actually going to the strip tonight with my street tires and see how bad my 60' times are.

    2001 GTS headers?

    If I am out of line on this sorry. I put the B$B headers on my car they are a slip fit header 5 into one with a great collector and perfect fit no wrestling at all with them the car sound and runs great.

    404 RWHP vs. 435 with a plug change?

    Ron, There are so many variables when dynoing, biggest is air quality humidity and temp,maybe it was more humid and hot the first time you ran it engine temp will have some effect but probably not 30 hp.
