Sound System & Horn not operational?
You need to check the hood and hatch switches. A tech with a wiTECH pod could be a big help. If you find that the switches are OK, you might want to think about the horn pad...particularly since it does not seem work when you push the button. The horn going off randomly required the replacement...- Steve-Indy

Valet Mode
Curious to know if you have checked the clutch fluid reservoir. Last year I got a similar call...car had been sitting for a couple of years...brake pads allegedly stuck on rotors. P.S. No such thing as "valet mode" on your Viper.- Steve-Indy

Real_Maverick, you are correct in that the Gen I P/S pulley is metal. Some keep it and just replace the bracket while some replace both as SneakyPete13 did. Squeal is not normal with properly installed/aligned billet P/S pulley and bracket. I would look at tensioner, then idler pulley as possible source.- Steve-Indy

Also check the Schrader valve at the high and low pressure ports for a leak. This is easily done with the old spit test like we used on bicycle tires. I should point out that in general, the AGM batteries mentioned above have another advantage in that they do not leak. So, once one "reconditions" the battery tray ( removing the corrosion, priming and painting it), the tray should stay clean over time. A down side to these batteries is cost...- Steve-Indy

Well, responses look a little thin. I use Interstate AGM batteries in our Gen I and II Vipers...noting that I like their MTZ-78 best (4 year fully returnable warranty).
