    It's probably the alarm? When you try and start does it turn and die and the alarm icon flash on the dash? If so you need to have the alarm fob handy, close the drivers door and keep unlocking and locking with the fob.

    Sorry to hear this, but doesn't surprise me, that seller tried to BS me on the title and other items. surprised you didn't start it before you bought it? You can find a good used engine for a reasonable price, but you need to think real hard about how much you want to put into this viper?

    It has a marginal repaint so hopefully you can get your buddy to paint it for a reasonable price? Everything fixed correctly (including frame), good re-paint and a strong motor you'll have a $25K plus viper. Figure out all costs before you start the restoration. Not trying to be critical...
