I just read the article tonight... they seemed to like the car for what it is. They also pointed out that the brakes faded on the base car, but that the track pack would eliminate the problem. Not consistant with what C&D stated as they tested the track pack and stated the brakes faded.

My wife always tries to have a conversation with me when I'm driving the Viper... I turn to her and say in a loud voice... I can't hear what you are saying over the exhaust. She doesn't want to yell...so she stops talking. Perfection. Probably why I put an exhaust on our Jeep SRT8...Ha!
I...
Congrats on the ACR!!!!
If you don't mind, care to share what you got in trade and what you paid for the ACR? Please feel free to e-mail me. I've been looking at this upgrade myself...
LFA, ZR1, ZL1, 2 Boss Mustangs, CTSV coupe, ATS were the only cars I cared to look at... Disappointing compared to previous years IMHO.
They had an Ariel Atom also... display for the 1/2 day and full day events at VIR.
For straight line performance the Invos are great, but the side walls are not stiff enough for track use in my opinion. They give away progressively and have a neutral feel, but when they got hot they were pretty slippery.
I'm probably heading out there tomorrow morning before the crowd hits... let me know if anyone is heading out. For those that haven't been, it isn't a "great" show like Detroit or Cleveland, but they should have some cool cars on display.

I had a great time today... some really nice cars and a great group. Thanks to Mayhem and to all who showed up.
Unfortunately, my phone won't let me upload my dyno videos. I had some good ones of my car, Brian's Roe car, Bill's Gen IV and Stuart's ACR.
Hey all,
I know most of you, but looking forward to meeting the rest. I was a Corvette guy for years until I was ruined by the Viper... I'm also a big fan of other SRT products. My wife drives a 300C SRT8 and we also have a Jeep SRT8 for picking up the groceries. If I'm not careful, I may...
Power steering bracket, water pump, engine/ tranny mounts, fule pump, plugs/ wires, fluids (coolant, motor oil, diff, tranny, clutch, brake), clay bar, wax, detail, etc ....
Maybe throw a blower on it????
The list goes on and on.
^ Take a look at what these cars are selling for over the last number of years. There are TT GTS's selling for $50-$60K range.
I think the OP is very optimistic if he thinks he is getting anywhere near $60k - I'm sure the entire board will agree on that (except for you and a couple of others...
Gorgeous car!
Not to piss on your thread, but I have this car:
360 Forged wheels, M&M headers and RT full exhaust and MGW pieces. Recent fluids, PS bracket, water pump, engine/ tranny mounts with 13k miles that I would let fly for $42k. I hope you get $60...
I was thinking about selling my Gen II after I drove the Gen V at VOI... I really liked it. I would get the base car in yellow w/ the track pack. The new car is a better car in every way stock for stock (except in the looks department)
After thinking about it more, I bought my GTS becuase...
First off, sorry to hear about your recent burglary.
Dogs deter thieves more than alarm systems... I have my dogs set up by the sliding door in the back.
I keep my guns throughout three safes in my house and keep my car keys in them. I'd love to see someone try to steal my big safe...
