A good 80rwhp can be gained on the 1996-1999 models with simple bolt ons. The camshaft on these year models responds well to minor mods.
Back in the day, my 1996 GTS went from 400rwhp to 480rwhp with K&N replacement air filters, smooth throttle body inlet tubes, 1.7 ratio rocker arms, stiffer...
The M and M headers are a good option. They are a Belanger copy, made here in the USA. They do differ from the Belangers as they do not use an internal cone to direct the exhaust flow in the tri-y pipes. This is a trick Belanger took from the aircraft industry. Otherwise they seem to make good...
MAP based fuel injection systems use manifold vacuum and throttle position as its major factors to determine fuel and timing maps. Bigger cams lower engine vacuum at low speeds and take quite a bit of tuning to get right. If engine vacuum and throttle position readings do not corrospond...
Its interesting, I was recently was at an event with several of the SRT engineers, Dick Winkles, Mike Trost, Paul Berger and Paul Mackiewitz. They mentioned that when they were track testing the Gen 5 Viper they rented a new ZO6 to test as well.
They wanted to see how well the transmission and...

Every car will receive a 60 point vehicle inspection with report and...
This issue is very common on head and cam change cars when the tuning is not precise. There is an area in the Map where the computer does not understand the relation between MAP and TPS, the high idle is mostly timing advance, not IAC motor steps. The computer reads Barometric pressure through...
You get what you pay for. There is a reason these are priced they way they are. Just understand that when you make the purchase. Don't expect these shocks to perform like a MCS, KW or a Penske product. Its like comparing a Rolex and a Timex.
Happy to help, I deal with tuning issues all the time and have done more cam and head changes than I can remember. With some more info, I'm sure we can figure it out. 310-597-6295.
I have asked Eric Messley, Ross Murray and Gene Sigal, all established Viper car control experts. I think we will have some our "Sidewinder" track guys and West Coast Racing instructors as well.
I spoke to Dick Winkles (Viper Engine platform engineer) and he indicated there are no plans to supercharge the G5 Viper engine for production. He indicated that the supercharged engine's that were delivered to Arrow were Hellcat V8's destined for the Drag Pack Challenger, which last came with a...
I like the BBK. The single blade Throttle Bodies are better for peak power but sometimes I have issues with them sticking. The low speed throttle response does not seem as good either.
Just my opinion

A hard top or rollbar is required. I am currently trying to get some hardtops to use at the track. If you do track your car Jay, you might consider a rollbar.
Call Jon at Partsrack or Sean at Roe Racing. They both can provide you with the PS pump bracket (improved) and an upgraded aluminum pulley. You might want to replace the high pressure hose as well. Snake Oyl has an aluminum fill tank as well, the plastic one tends to warp and leak with track use.
Hey Folks, This is all good discussion, but what’s important here is the event. It’s about passion for Vipers and the people that own them. The years I was involved in the Viper Days series were some of the most exciting times in my Viper experience. I was able to meet fellow owners, learn how...
This is in no way a for profit event, besides the track rental, we have West Coast running the event, lunch and Banquet at the hotel, driving instructors, tech crew and numerous other items to be paid for. Its going to take full attendance and sponsorship money from us and others for West Coast...
We ended up buying a remanufactered unit from Kenny Bell, with a warranty. Thanks Sean at Roe Racing and all of you for your help. The car is back on the road and running well.

Jon is correct. SRF has the highest boiling point, great for use in track cars that have issues boiling the fluid and getting a soft pedal. Draw back is this fluid is very expensive and hydroscopic, meaning is will absorb moisture quicker than other fluids. Flush it often and make sure the...
