With the shape of our Gen2 sidesills i do not think the first 5"OD component he is using will fit. I have a 4" OD component(moroso spiralflow) in-place of my cat and it is further rearward than this system and mine Barely fits. You can purchase the aero mufflers separately to build your custom...
I had the X-pipe on my full B&B system and she had plenty of drone.
On a stock system like the OP it might be worth a try though.
My drone no matter how much i switch around my exhaust setup starts around 1200 and peaks at 1500 then falls off quick. The only thing that has remained constant...

I recommend reading through all of these several times(until you fully understand them) before adjusting shocks.
The more you learn about shock tuning the...
I have some good info on how to set up shocks that applies to any vehicle. I'll track it down and post in a bit.
Basically you start by setting bump(compression) & rebound on the shock both to 0. Then you increase the compression setting until optimized. Next you adjust the rebound until...
divers side of the pumkin up against the wheel-well liner. I ended up cutting a 3or4" slot in my liner(with a rotorouterbit) to able me to pull it back enough to disconnect the filter. Man, i remember working on trying to disconnect that mo-fo for atleast an hour(even with the proper disconnect...
V10Lover,
Read what i wrote. It was just a general comment about dynoing in response to people talking about dynoing on a cold motor which i dissagree with.
Now , in response to your comment: I have no doubt that the Gen5 Viper makes more power than the Gen4 Viper in reality. The SRT...
Id rather see dyno #'s at operating temp rather than cold start for three reasons. 1. Its safer for the motor and drivetrain. 2. The numbers are more consistant with reality(like how much power your car makes while driving down the road) 3. I think it might be better for tuning since WOT at...

The first thing i noticed when switching the 345 Michelins that were on my Viper to 345 NittoInvo's was that the Tread Width was noticeably not as wide on the invo's. Sure they might have the same sidewall-to-sidewall measurement(345), but the Invo's taper inward leaving a smaller tread width.
Good point about the DRL mandate Smith.
I dont know the details of this though. Could someone elaborate? I thought DRL's were fed required a long time ago but when i just purchased a 2011 Mazda for my wife it didn't have DRL's so i scratched my head.:dunno:
It it an assumption that stylish...
Looking at these two comments (+1 on them Both) it is apparent that two different topics are being disscused (and possibly confused) in this thread.
Im pretty sure by the OP's comments that started this thread that he was reffering to the Application of LEDs used in Styling, Rather than the...
To the "you need stickier tires camp":
I don't care how old or ****ty your tires are. You shouldn't be spinning a 180 while shifting to 2nd going down the strip. Period.
I'm a road racer. If someone showed up to a track day and was consistently spinning out in turn1 then i would instruct...
A few possibilities that i can think of:
1. Your reaction time is to slow to compensate for the rear end by reacting with a precise countersteer in the right direction
2. Your brain is not able to effectively communicate with your hands to tell them how to correct the situation
3. Your...

For example:
A Factory Michelin PS2 tire for a Viper,
A Factory Michelin PS2 tire for a Porsche,
and A Michelin PS2 tire purchased off the shelf(or online)
are all different because apparently some manufactures have the connections to have a unique spec tire produced to be equipped...
As tires age they dry out and the rubber compound gets harder resulting in less grip. Different people have different standards for how long they keep around a set of tires regardless of the amount of tread remaing. Someone with high performance standards might call em trash after 2 years of...
When i went to replace the timing cover gasket on my GTS(97) a couple years ago i was at around 60K miles. I figured since i was changing all the other recommended gaskets in there while the whole front end was taken apart it might be wise to swap the timing chain at the same time. As always, i...
I'll take a cheap lightweight 1.5ton aluminum short-body jack over a fancier better spec'd expensive one any day of the week.
Why, because it fits my application better. Ive got a two car garage and with the short body jack i am able to get a car up even if it is on one side of the garage...
Right, this is what i remember. Set the caster first, Then turn both lower a-arm cam bolts by the same amount to adjust camber. In my case i assumed stock caster was correct and simply adjusted the lower bolts simultaneously to dial in my camber.
Weird. A straight on pic of the rear of the car on Both sides might help us understand what is going on.
Also, a pic of the cam bolt positions on both sides.
Before you installed the coilovers did you mark the alignment bolts and tighten them in the same position as a starting point for the...
