Policy, show me an XLR for 20K.
Even though i get your exaggerated point, i do not think it will ever apply to the Viper.
The diff being that the XLR was a 40k car with a huge markup/profit margin to get it to the 90K msrp.
In comparison, there were times that the Viper neted O profit for...
Exactly.
I'll add that MikeG's perception about the Miata is just that. A perception.
It is a fact that the majority of Miata owners are men.
It is also a Fact that on any given weekend there is more mazda's running around at performance events from road courses to autocrosses than any...
I think you all might be on the wrong page.
They used the word BABY. Not Little Brother....
I'm thinking about something to compete with the class of Miata / BRZ / S2000 / Solstice / Sky.
We have never had an economy lightwieght RWD platform car. The best dodge has done is a Turbo version...
This is not true. The current V10 platform is basically maxed out. Perhaps a few small tweaks here and there left, but nothing to make it "much" stronger.
Suspension and aero will come with the ACR as expected. The base vipers do not need 1000lbs of downforce like the racing version. Its not...
Read my previous post and learn something rookie.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll add from the MT article:
"The VBOX’s speed trace asserts the Viper pulls harder than the ZR1 on the straights
You cant argue with accelerometers & global positioning...
What are you "looking" at?
FYI. The cars position's down the end of the straightaway is Mostly dependent on the Exit speed of the final turn (and how fast the driver was able to roll on the throttle).
A simple example:
car (A) with 400hp exiting the turn at 100 mph may still end up further...
One of the cars in that poll makes the other one disappear. Its a no-brainer for most to choose the one that remains visible :)
huh? I thought a poll was All about the numbers....:dunno: j/k (i know what you meant)
This is an easy task and i'm sure that many old Vipers are still running around with their original fluid since some people think that mileage is everything. In reality a 1997 viper with only 10K miles on her should have this fluid changed as it has been sitting around for 15 years. Would you...
Wusss;)
Seriously,
Car manufactures and media productions do this stuff on the regular. Roads are closed to the public. Authorities are notified and in some cases An Ambulance is required to be paid for and on standby. Conditions are picked(for example they wouldn't go out on a rainy or...
That is funny stuff and a good way to look at the situation IMO:2tu:
UTAHVIPER, do you have a response to this?
When people ask you how fast your 2008 Viper is do you quote the edmunds tested time? or your "personal best time of 11.19" :dunno...
+1
Sounds to me like he:
pushed the coolant through the gasket,
into the cylinder,
out the exhaust valve port
into the header where is dripped out of the leaky joint
I'm guessing that 1st two puddles on the floor were from a leak other than the headgasket though. I would go through the...
Very nice looking and fuctional. Good find Luisv. Thanks for posting this thread. Im sure SRP Racing will be thanking you in the future for all the calls they will be getting for Viper pedals. I'll prob order a set if i have some spare cash after the holidays.
All that stuff would prob take a certified Viper tech the better part of a day wich alone would cost about 800bucks labor. Working by the "book" might even take longer.
Some of the OEM fluids are pretty expensive(like trans and diff). (one of them is like 25bucks a quart...)
I'd ask them...
Prob not much benefit using a 3" system after a stock 2.5" cat, but if your going heads & cam & headers(with a 3" outlet) then you should def ditch the stock cats and run a 3" component wether it be a hi-flow cat or simply replacing it with some type of muffler. And then continue with 3" to the...
In my GTS, I have tried 3 diff knobs. The two diff stock ones, and the MGW firststrike.
My favorite is the OEM knob that has been in the Viper since the mid-gen2 change. Since then SRT has stuck with it to the end of production and i think the Gen5 one is very similar. There is a reason for...
FYI, It is possible that you are simply fealing the lesser value of time delay for the snap throttle response. Stock is slow for easy shifts and less bucking. Its standard for tuners to tinker with that on our tunes. It makes it "feal" like you have a lightwieght flywheel...
Two Q's:
Did...
