    Look at the calendar... saw this posted on another Viper board... Wikipedia says the GTS-R was unveiled at the Pebble Beach concourse in 1995 so 2045 would be the 50th. That what it is? Any other odd things in any of the pics?

    Again... don't dislike the Gen-II car at all, but in comparison certain aspects of it look bulbous vs. the crisper/more taught Gen-V car. Looking at them from the driver's front 3/4 they look nearly identical from the behind the front wheel back...

    I've owned four C5s.... it's very non-Corvette 1. Headlights are completely different shapes and in different positions 2. Fogs vs. no fogs 3. Viper is far curvier and more rounded 4. Viper's side with the intersecting curves and huge side cove is completely different

    I agree... I'm confused here. Was that a "launch video" or was it something made for some kind of presentation? I would think the marketing guys would do much much better if it were really a full on launch video. Take Ferrari's video for the F12 for example...

    SRT/Dodge just **** all over GM in the interior department. I'm a Corvette owner and I know GM is working hard to give the C7 a proper interior, but I doubt it will be anywhere close to something like this.

    Because they're a gimmick. The engine has to be able to move some with the intake staying put. If they really gave any power the engineers would use them. Aluminum has a fatigue life, is more difficult to repair, and putting a roll cage in an aluminum chassis vehicle is a royal PITA. I'll take...

    If that's all it's for then yeah... really stupid idea. However, good to know it can be easily fixed with the GEN-IV covers.

    The ALMS race car has a paddle shifted sequential as do all modern GT race cars. The gearbox itself runs north of $30,000.

    I remember this... the GTS-R concept was truly stunning. Then the actual GEN-III car came out and it was like huh?
