    The '08-'09 Viper are phenominal cars, and a fair bit more refined/improved than previous models. I just wish there was an easy way to put a GTS body on a Gen 4 chasis.

    Considering purchase -- thoughts on this car?

    I went with a StopTech set up and I did have to remove (cut off) the existing ears for the rear calipers, but it had a seperate mounting bracket for the E-brake. I would think a $7K kit from Brembo would have the same thing.

    Anyone know who owned this and what happened to it?

    They didn't mention if it had frame damage or not. The front rim had damage to the inside (look close), so there's no telling what condition the suspention is in. The air bags didn't deploy, but it could still be a costly fix.

    Most desirable GTS combo

    You don't need production numbers or paint combinations to have a rare and desirable GTS...it's a Viper and I love them all. I'm partial to the one in my garage, and I would expect a similar answer from you.

    I had a similar experience with Jon after calling him about a bad fan motor. He remembered my car had been updated with a newer one and sent me the correct part. It fit perfectly, worked great and cost way less than I expected.

    A Little Help from Harness Guys

    Always be careful when grinding something soft (even hardened electro-static sealcoat) because it will clog the grinding wheel causing it to over-heat and explode. Aluminum is bad about it and that was the first thing that came to mind when I read about using a grinder. Also, use eye protection...

    Dealers were given $20K in "incentives" to help move the cars. My cousin is a Dodge dealer and has a Viper that he just bought, so this is very accurate information. If you are serious and a dealer quotes you anything close to sticker you might want to look elsewhere.

    Check Viper Magazine website. I did a while back and they have a lot of older magazines that are now available. I completed my collection and didn't have to search eBay for a year. they are $7.00 each if I remember correctly.
