Jon knows my car better that I do, and I usually email him with any questions I have before ordering anything. He will tell me I don't need something and lose a sale, but he keeps me as a faithful customer. It's nice to see someone that puts others before himself.
Thanks Jon!
There was a set of slotted rotors on the front when I got the car 2 years ago. Since then, I have taken it to Viper Days, auto crossed it, drag raced it and took it to VOI 9 and had it on the NASCAR track. I got new pads and rotors and the pads I replaced had more than 50% left.
Have we forgotten...HELL NO! Exactly 1 year later I was in Afghanistan praying a mortar didn't find my (or any other airman, soldier, sailor or marine's) tent. Any time I hear of another military service member making the ultimate sacrifice and laying their life upon the altar of freedom it hits...
The first thing you did wrong was listen to a Corvette owner. :nono: They are like Army recruiters, and you should understand that if their mouth is moving...they're lying.
Just kidding. I called JonB, and he gave me a great deal on pads and rotors. I got slotted, coated and drilled rotors...
The new Viper is supposed to be $995.00 CHEAPER than the '06 and it's due to the improved gas mileage, so there's a $1,700.00 gas guzzler tax as opposed to the '06s $3k.
I think once the '08 hits showroom floors, any '06 still there will get real cheap real fast because not too many people...
I use the sunvisor clip and hang it on the sunvisor. Radar detectors are not illegal here, so it's no big deal. I use the concealed display as well and think it is a great thing to have.

JonB is the only person I deal with when it comes to my Viper! I had the pleasure of meeting him in person, and he's a great guy. When my father needed tires for his quad cab SRT-10 I knew just who to call. I have never received anything less than the best price, quality and service.
I got the remote display so I don't have to worry about anyone else seeing the red lights. I have my wife's van wired for it when we take trips, and the display sits right in front of the steering wheel. I think the Valentine is one of the best investments I've made, and it has paid for itself...
I let my wife friend drive mine, but I was in the car with her teaching her how to drive a stick...and before you get any ideas...don't go there. She putted around a parking lot and was very surprised how easy it was to get moving.
My wife will NOT drive it because it scares the crap out of...
Most people don't see it as comparing apples to oranges because they have never been in a Viper, Z06, Porsche or Lambo before. The Z06 put emphasis on weight reduction and sacrificed longevity for horsepower. The Viper is the exact opposite. Porsche and Lamborghini seem more focused on quality...
I was thinking about making mine louder as well. I live on an air force base, and when I get to the point where my car can be heard over an F-15 I'll tone it down a little.
Put that thing by your front door and you wouldn't need a home security system.
I have 2 young kids, and the temptation to chase them through the house screaming and yelling with it would be to much for me.
I have a really annoying metal on metal sound that's coming from the front of the car. I thought it was a warped rotor, but after I changed all the pads and all 4 rotors the sound is still there. It only happens when the car is rolling along at a slow speed (around 15 mph). The only thing I can...
I doubt Hulk's knees could tolerate driving a Viper. I'm watching 'Hogan Knows Best' right now, and you can tell his years of wrestling is starting to catch up with him. Anyone that has watched his show can tell his family means more to him than anything in the world, and if he could stand to...
Mr. Shelby has a shop here in Vegas by the speedway, and still makes the Cobra. You can get it in carbon fiber, aluminum or fiberglass. If anyone is interested I could get some more specifics or you could call them at:
Shelby Automobiles, Inc.
6755 Speedway Blvd
Las Vegas, NV. 89115...
If you put aluminum polish of them and it turns black there's no clear coat. If the wheel is cast instead of forged, there's not much point on trying to put a shine on them because it's a waste of time.
If I'm to believe all these magazine articles and videos of Jeremy Clarkson, that must have been computer generated because everyone knows a Viper will spin with no warning.
I'd actually love to learn to drive like that, and maybe before I put on a new set of tires I'll give it a try. I think...
I've gotten a few phone calls from dealerships as well needing my (insert customer's vehicle here), and they were willing to give me top dollar towards trade-in.
They get your personal info when you bring a vehicle in for service, and do you remember that door prize you signed up to win at the...
