I run slicks and my 60's are low 1.4's - Never had to worry about these
I use the lightweight ones that are the better of the two from Unitrax
Here's a pic for comparison
How strict will tech be? I'm not too far away as I live in Indy. My car runs 10.8/10.9's trapping 130's but not worth the drive to me if I can't run it. If you're following NHRA rules anything running quicker than a 11.49 is suppose to have a roll bar. My suspension and drivetrain is stock -...
If you have a GenI and your looking for the push in double clip (holds throttle cables) that goes in the intake about center of the motor it is part # 5245 520
I was waiting for someone to ask so..... I'll give away what was a little trick on me
I'll let the pics tell the other side (no punn intended) of the story
Still ruined a perfectly good top IMO
I like the photoshop pic :rolaugh: that was pretty good
Guess this car came thru...
I guess I'm a minority too. My car makes over 700hp (on spray) and runs in the 10's. My car has 42k miles with no problems. I also have seen at least 5 gen1's in my area and all are on the original gaskets.
Is MLS better ?
yes!
Necessary ?
No!
In the 10's first time out this year - Check out the video
I'll let the Video speak for itself
YouTube - 1996 Viper RT10 at the Drags
I know it's not the fastest by some of today's standards but not bad for my first time out this year and it's a GenI :D I had a throttle cable that kept...
Mods in motor are 708 cam / 1.7 HS RR's / Heads ported/milled to get 10.5:1 / 65mm TB's and Edlebrock headers with Randomtech exhaust-no cats. Motor alone dynos 490/520 to the rear.
I sprayed a 300 shot but on a very moderate setting with my controller. The car was all over the track in...
Ran this in my 1996 RT10 last Saturday
Not bad for an all motor Nitrous car. I think with more seat time I can cut it down to a mid and or better yet low 10's.
Running MT ET Streets with 15lbs of air. I had one 60' of a 1.49
What a feeling those 60's give ya !
Video to be posted soon
While the valve cover gaskets are salty ($90) they are re-usable. So feel free to take the valve cover off any time you wish
As far as your request to re-torque your head bolts you may want to reconsider. The Exhaust manifolds (stock or header type) cover 5 of your 12 head bolts (per side). So...
Thanks
It looks better in person. Hard to take a picture because My trunk has a fitted bottom that is carpeted black so everything looks dark. All my wiring and relays are under the platform and in the spare tire well. Anyway if I had a GTS and had to look at my bottles all the time I would...
As you probably already know always splice in and never cut. Peel back about an inch and open the middle of the wire up. Insert your new wire, twist and solder. About as good as it gets. I would tap in close to the PCM. The motor creates alot of interference (Sensors and Coils) and you're...
I like the Chris Alston Chassisworks Bottle brackets
Here's what I have but there are several types to choose from. I like how these hold them in place - Here's a pic a double
My pics aren't as pretty as some of the above but I like being able to take one out at a time too and they don't...
