    K&N Filter Cleaning Frequency?

I have K&N filters in all my cars, go by how it looks, if its looking dark and dirty clean it and re oil, there really is no set time, it depends on where and how the car is driven, a few off road blasts in the Jeep and its time for a cleaning, the Viper can go a long time if only driven on the...

Trying to buy 2013 Viper - But was in an accident

Let me rephrase that, with enough money you can fix anything, so you pick this one up for 45k and dump 25k to get it right , things add up fast, could be less could be more. I would spend 70k on a clean car and save the can of worms for some one else, just my 2 cents.

I had a shop for 40 years, run away as fast as you can.

94 Viper starts, dies, but then starts and runs great

Just my 2 cents, I think your barking up the wrong tree, with a manifold absolute pressure sensor, you would get a code if it was bad. check fuel system for good pressure at start up-leaky check valve, check air idle control valve-sticking.

Motor Mounts - Where to buy

I remember many years ago mounts were a hot topic. And I made the mistake of falling into the hype. I wish I could remember were I bought the motor and trans mounts, but they were awesome poly type mounts with a locking design, and a great price made by some guy from his own small business. The...

    WORLDS BEST WAX

MoparMap, I have used that stuff to, but I first found out about it when I owned a boat, it was a popular marine wax, it was a lot of work to wax a 43 foot boat, especially with Collinite you had to really rub it in, but it seemed to last the longest of all the waxes out there at the time, so it...

The Quest for 250 plus MPH

Rear wheel HP takes a 10 to 18% hit from drive train loss and is a realistic figure for true output as installed in the car with all the crap on the engine and legal exhaust system. Your right they were difficult to keep tuned, but if you knew the weak points they were easy, make sure you lubed...

The Quest for 250 plus MPH

MoparMap you must remember back in the day the HP ratings were gross not net, on my sun dyno a 1970 Hemi would push any where from 310 to 330 to the rear wheels, a gen 2 Viper stock was 445 to 460 to the rear on my same sun dyno, and yes Dodge was conservative at 450 hp for the Viper a well...

The Quest for 250 plus MPH

FST SNAKE That whole event is just awesome, and you did a great job, to me its just so amazing how fast the new breed of cars are, I came from a time when the top cars LS6, 440 6 packs , 455 stage 1 , Hemi Cuda , Boss 429 , L88 Vetts Ect the list is long, could only do 120 mph tops, yes I know...

Dump it or restore it (96 RT/10 Special Edition)

I say build it, put Good heads on it since it needs new head gaskets anyway, roller rockers, throttle bodies, headers, exhaust system, dump the cats, and fix up anything else you have to do to make it a safe driver, forget about a garage queen, I did that to a 95 RT10 and had the time of my...

    Question, tires for 94

Before you get new tires make sure you take some pictures of some wicked burn outs, at least you will get some use out of them, do it in a huge parking lot were there is nothing to hit, trust me the car go's side ways, round and round and backwards, get it out of your system that way you won't...

    93 Viper - thoughts...

I had a 95 and headers and exhaust made a big difference, I also got rid of the cats car ran so cool, the side sills were no longer hot. Save all the stuff you swap out so its no big deal if you or someone else wants it stock again. Sold my car to a collector who I know, and the funny thing is...
