    Bob you can do it, the hardest part of the job is removing the side covers, take your time, there held on by small , I think 6mm screws or something close to that, once there off the rest is straight forward , on my 95 there were silicon hangers just remember to lube them when taking on and off...

    You have a bad leak some where, and its not running right, I have no cats, no smell and exhaust has no bad smell, but then my car is tuned right , so all cars pre 1994 with out cats stunk, I don't remember that, only when they were not adjusted right, to rich, timing wrong, bad plugs ect

    You did a good job checking things, with 126,000 on the clock you have really enjoyed the car, after the rebuild you should be good to go for a long time. Please let us know how its running when you are finished.

    Thats cool, the gen 1-2 lifters are great, did not read the post carefully. To flatten a roller cam, the lifter roller must have froze, when all is good on a roller cam they last for ever. Anyway the build sounds good, have fun with the car.:)

    I don't think so, the newer the Viper the better they became, my 95 is a great car my 99 is even better and I am sure a 2017 is great, now what year you like best and find the coolest in your eye is a whole different story. I lot of what you hear is fake news, there is also CNNs in the auto world.

    With having a 95 RT10 and a 99 GTS you would think I would have done a timing set, nope! never had a problem. So the only advice I can give is price the set from different dealers, we all know some dealers are way better then others. Give Woodhouse a call, when I lived in NJ I bought my Vipers...

    Just wait you will see, the first few years of Corvettes were made like crap, look what they go for now, first Vipers were made much better in comparison, so like anything in the old car collectors market it will go up, even old every day cars are worth a lot now.

    unfortunately I have seen things like that many times, most of the time its a ground issue and they pick up the ground from the strangest places, sometimes I have just wired in grounds when all else fails.
