Have you ever heard "there's always someone faster"? I guess it makes it that more special when a Vette beats a Viper cus it rarely happens. Even though the Z06 has a better suspension setup for drags, I bet a Viper with same level driver and same mods can beat that time.
Nice time by your...
Depends on how "worked" it is before he added the nitrous. I've only heard of nitrous systems going up to 200 hp.
When you raced him when you had K&Ns, how bad did he beat you? You'll have to provide times, speed, split times, difference between cars (car lengths) if possible. Maybe someone...
Ahh, I see you're saying you want the VIR title to belong to you (above the Mason-Dixon). Sorry, I thought you were saying that VIR was above the Mason-Dixon. I know my geography, thanks. Just in case you don't believe me, I won my middle schools geography bee.
But what do you mean by you're...
The other thing is when this guy said his Vette was stock, we mentioned this to him. He came back with saying, "when I said stock, nothing inside the engine was touched." Well, can you say "stock internals?" it's not too hard to add one word to describe the engine. There's a big difference...
If this helps, I previously stated that Lee had his Viper for 4,000 miles, that was also in about a year and a half (over two years now, not sure on mileage), and it still had that "new" Viper smell when I left MD last.
I never knew Heffner made a "kit." --Or did I? Just for the sake of it, I'll fess up, I admit, it was me. I've been hiding my Viper status all along. It was a fun run as usual. I couldn't tell if his Stang was faster than all the others I've raced, I was too busy concentrating on keepin the car...
Jim, reading radio displays with polarized sunglasses shouldn't be a problem. The only thing that having polarized glasses does is cut sun glare and shine. Your sunglasses just may be really dark. You can purchase perscription and non-perscription polarized sunglasses with lighter or darker tint...
All 99 and up (including SRTs) do not have foglight "covers" (covers the openings of the "hole"). I'm not exactly sure the part you are describing. Only thing I can think of is the plastic piece that protects the foglight bulb. Please clarify this, thank you.
I drove from Columbus to Myrtle Beach (10 hour trip one way), spent an entire week in MB, returned home. how many Vipers did I see? None. At least you saw one and you can see yours everyday
I work. I'm not wealthy. sh!t, I have to drive my mom's Saturn until I [possibly] buy a car from my dad. I type during my breaks. databasing for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week gets boring.
I thought of outline as well as soon as you asked for an idea for it to stand out. Any Viper color outline would work very well. I'd make it a stock color combination, but that's just me. Of course I'd go for black or sapphire, but if your walls seem a bit slow recently, go yellow. :rolleyes...
Heffner has been supercharging cars and Vipers for many years as well, I couldn't tell you how many though. He has had a hobby in drag racing both Mustang (stipped and tubbed) and Vipers. Like Levin, Heffner started modifying stuff before Vipers.
Sorry to hear about the accident. That sounds like my first/only accident. Luckily I hydroplaned into a guys rear bumper at a 5 mph difference; otherwise I may have gone into head on traffic, anywhere from 60-70 mph difference.
