    Also try to get the lowering system from Detert. I'v driven a Viper with the MGW Gripper and Detert's drop, works great, feels like it should (haven't driven any other Vipers though, so I can't compare).

    Don't know of another forum as good as this one. You may want to try viper-alley.com (take out the hyphen). Possibly one of the reasons you didn't get a good response is because for the Gen 1s, you have to have someone/an owner who really knows about Vipers and the mechanical differences...

    6'2, 200 lbs., size 14 shoe. Driven a GTS twice, stock seats, and I fit very comfortably. No problems with seat position (I drive upright) or interferance with dash and steering wheel. I can use the pedals just fine with my regular cross trainers. Just have to be extra careful with the power...

    What Gen 1 #s can you get with smooth tubes, filters, and various exhaust options. Please include manufacturer, any other exhaust mods (headers, cats, etc.). I'm looking to compare side exhaust ratio numbers to Gen II "creampuff" ratio numbers. Thanks for your information. Sean

    I think he meant that it didn't feel as quick. The 19" probably add to top speed. I'm not a gear-freak, mechanic, or engineer, so correct me if I'm wrong.

    I know of two GTSs- 1 '00 with 3k mi. and an '01 with 8k at the time I think, both had Snake-Oyl cat back exhaust, K&N drop in filters, and smooth tubes, installed at Woodhouse before delivered. Both dyno'd on the same day, within an hour of each other, same dyno, same tester, SAE corrected...

    There's someone on here that has a website with his full Belanger exhaust with it idling in the garage and doing a 1-2-3 gear pull (1st WOT, 2nd and 3rd are part throttle). Can't help you with who it is, or what the website is, sorry.

    Re: Who\'s Viper is the best? LOL, I don't think you're as big a pain as you think you are, though. We need you to enforce the tracked car per regurlarly driven car ratio. Count me in when I get my [used] Viper.
