I use it all of the time, and it works well too.
I had an '06 coupe and now an '08 coupe. Just my toy which doesn't get driven very much, and the garage I keep it in has no electric. The 'sleep' mode definitely helps extend the charge. My cars have sat for 2+ months at a time without being...
For the most part, I definitely prefer it over the stock gears. I love being able to use 6th gear without doing 70mph.
Only problem is traction. The PS2's are overwhelmed in 1st at WOT, basically all of the time. I had 3.55's in my '06 coupe (PS2's as well) and it would hook in the warmer...
I did just the Woodhouse Engine Mounts on both my '06 and '08. Vibrations really weren't bothersome. Now they've 'broken in' some and I don't even remember they're in there!
I had just the Corsa on my '06 Coupe. Sounded good(waaay better than stock w/ the crossover!), but not loud.
With my '08 I decided to go with Roe H/F cats and Corsa. At idle/cruise, it's actually mellow, but it does make some noise at WOT - which I like.;)
It does have a deeper/stronger tone...
Damn you guys take your Vipers to Island?
Was there once. Never again. Slip-slidin' all the way, and that was in my SRT Ram.
Nothing like racing in the middle of a field though!:dunno:
Nice 60'! Those Sport Cups must hook up hard!:headbang:
I had 3.55's and PS2's on my '06 and the best 60' I could get was 1.8x. (DC Tune; Corsa; Filter; 11.6 @ 124)
Same combo on my '08 and traction is almost non-existent in 1st. Sometimes 2nd.
How are the Sport Cups on the street?
I will never take my car to shows/cruises and I'll never leave it in a parking lot - anywhere. I stay with it all of the time when it's not in the garage.
Too much time, money, and effort into it for some retard to mess with it. And I'm not too far from you - we have p-l-e-n-t-y of retards...
I believe he's speaking of Evan Smith of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords(among others).
Yeah, he's got 'some' experience. Like a metric sh!t-ton of it. The guy is good.
Pretty.
This is only for looks correct? Still stock on the inside = No HP gain.
I want one eventually, but for added HP. The shine would just be a bonus.
One last question - Are the intakes as easy to remove as they look?
Thanks Dan:beer:
^What he said.
My '06 w/ simple mods (ECU,filter,Corsa) would run 122-123/Mid to High 11's all day long. Well, not at Maple Grove for some reason?? At E-Town and Atco it would though.
This was me and my '06 at Maple Grove back in '08. MPH sucked, but the ET was ok.
My '06 Viper vs. C5ZO6...
I traded my '06 Coupe for an '08 Coupe, because at the time, I got a great deal.
Then my local dealership totalled my new 108 mile '08, so their insurance company cut me a big check and I bought another '08 Coupe, and had a nice chunk of $$$ leftover.
There are only 2 downsides (maybe 3?) I...
Hey I love my Viper as much as the next guy, and I honestly have no use for Asian imports of any type, but I've seen and driven a few other Mopars - Some of them fall short.:dunno:
I have one of the non-stripe Venom Red Coupes. (OK,, this is my 2nd VR '08 Coupe since my dealership
wrecked my first one;))
Great car. Incredible color in the sunlight! Pics don't do it justice.
*Congrats on the '08! Be Real Careful with it for a while! These cars love to go sideways!:D
