My honest opinion is that the gen4 dynos 535 rwhp while a V dynos 550.
Maybe another 15 rwhp at the wheels and a 100 pounds lighter with more agressive gearing is all the V has over the gen4.

While I agree that there is a problem that needs to be adressed. It still seems that the car is averaging 11.2-11.5 in the quartermile.

The new viper seems to trapp an honest 126-130 mph on all the magazines. Likewise 0-60 in 3.2 seconds is the fastest rear wheel driven manual shifted 0-60 I've ever seen in a magazine.

Nice vid....yea a 130 mph car verses a 135 mph car is gonna be a slaughter.
On a positive note the snake did better than vids of zr1s and modded gtrs I've seen.

I had the samee experience in my 500 rwhp 3200 pound 2003.
I ran dead even with 600 awhp gtrs.
They are geared very agressivly and hit3rd gear at 58 mph. So from 60 mph rolls they are pretty slow. The weight and gearing shows its face. From 0-45 mph rolls you better watch out though
The vette is intake exhaust and tune. Likely 485 rwhp and 3200 pounds. Still got pulled by a few lengths by the stock Gen V.
I find the new viper very impressive. That easily a low 11 at 127 MPH capable vette in the quarter mile.
