    What Shandon said is what I do as well! I don't race, just HPDE's.....but this is what I do...If you need to, have someone standing at the grid so they can take your temps. Outside weather, which track, heat cycles, all of that play a factor. Keep a log book. Listen to your 'seat gauge'.
