You're killing me smalls! I think we are not on the same page. This isn't my first time using a buffer or doing a full paint correction, not even close. I am using the same technique as you in your video. In my mind, I usually use the rule of thumb that I move the buffer 1-2 inches per...
You're right, I watched the first 3 last night. I've never watched a detailing video that described Charles Barkley's golf swing.
After 3, I can say no information has been new or surprising, including the fact that we generally use the same products.
My question is based from the fact...
This thread should be in the detailing section.
With that being said I use Blackfire Wet Diamond. It is especially good on black paint but has amazing shine on all colors.
No. Not yours specifically but have spent countless hours reading blogs and watching other videos of professional detailers perform paint corrections of all magnitudes. I guess I assumed yours would be similar...
I am running into this same issue. I bought a low mileage one-owner 2008 coupe about 6 weeks ago and the owner had taken abysmal care of the car. I bought it out of state so the pictures looked fine and when I got there, there were surface scratches everywhere and the car was filthy under the...
Should have mentioned, Illinois allows 7 characters max, and the number must be at the end (far right) if it's a mix of letters and numbers.
I'll try to spitball with the idea of an S and a Z though. Thanks!
I was considering a couple for my Gen IV. Keep in mind my initials are ZZ which is pretty rare so i'd like to incorporate it if possible.
I thought of these today. Feedback would be good. It seems EVERYTHING is taken in Illinois.
Thanks for all the info Steve! Using a shock made specifically for the lowered height seems like a definite improvement over the old Aldan setups.
I thought the initial issue with the adjustable Aldans was the seal around the rebound adjustment was blowing out and it was a design flaw, not a...
Yeah, last January there was a pretty infamous news story of a Lamborghini Gallardo catching fire outside the Portland Auto Show because of this rule. Somebody decided it would be a good idea to put the car at full throttle in neutral to run the gas down to a quarter tank. There used to be a...
Good news! I was hoping someone would chime in with some reviews.
Unless I can find some used KW's in the 1500-2k range, I will be ordering a set of these for my Gen IV this month.
I don't plan to do much tracking, so as long as they are leak and bounciness free with lowered ride height...
On the "lowered ride height setting", what is the nominal amount the shock is setup for being lowered? the same as a lowered Eibach spring setup?
What is the lowering range for the adjustments?
On my '08, I just taped off the edges of the stripes off and buffed the base color.
I did a test spot of going over the edge of the stripe and it did show signs of damage so I would stay away from them unless taped off.
As for the LED lights, I am referring to the trend of every new trendy car having LED strips of lights on the front and rear of the car. I'm not saying it doesn't look cool, but that wasn't the point. The point is that it is a trend, a trend in which all luxury cars, and now cheaper brands, are...
Hyper-black is a fairly common color among wheel enthusiasts.
It's well known that it's not actually a "black" wheel so I guess I don't find it misleading, but whoever decided to call it that originally wasn't the brightest...
:rolaugh: first thing my wife said to me when buying a black...
