I'm sure we're all curious so I'll be the one to outright ask the proverbial "what did the dealer charge?" I got a quote from a couple of dealers for just a shade under $2000.00. That just included the head gaskets and all other gaskets needed. Nothing else. A group of us got together and did...
I got the Kumho Exta XS's on my 94 from Tire Rack. Had them mounted balanced and delivered for $950.00 to my shop. Get all 4 tires, not just 2. PS 2's were $1600.00. I only drive about 2500 miles a year so I went the cheaper route. Great tires and great price. PS 2's would have dry rotted before...
If I get any kind of home improvement estimate I keep the garage door closed and the car is under a cover. If door just happens to be open the standard question is "you gotta vette under there?". I tell 'em "yep, it's my kid's and he's restoring it and has been for a year". I can't afford those...

This looks just like the stains on my 94. It is leaking antifreeze or did at one time or another. Your's appear to have started to seep. I replaced my head gaskets about 2 months ago with a great crew of Viper guys. PM me a name and a number if you want to and I'll give you the rundown on what...
Just happened to catch Jay Leno last night test driving a Carrera GT at Talledega on HDTV. V10, 605 hp. I can't remember any head to heads against a Viper but this car was fast. Anyone know of any comparison tests? Maybe this was an old show but that car was sweet. Big difference in price...
Those guys did a phenominal job of detailing. Not to be a spoil sport but the wet look tires look awesome for a show but I have found nothing that does not sling even tho the different quality manufacturers guarantee no sling. I've tried em all. Turbo Wax told me i was putting too much on. Not...

Are we ever going to get the "new" old look back to the forums section? I read a while ago it's a big job to make the new changes but figured by now it would be resolved. Really enjoyed when opening the forums when it listed all the new posts. Is the webmaster still working on this or is what we...
Unless the shop is using laser equipment or some real high tech machionery a 4 wheel alignment should be less than a hundred dollars. I paid 80 for my Gen 1.
Just put my new red AB's on about 2 weeks ago and had the same question. I called Adam and he said not to worry that the OEM looms worked great. He was right. Not a problem and they look great. What a difference with new plugs and wires. Idles very smooth. I'm assuming you're changing the plugs too.

Haven't had a chance to sit down until now and relate one of the most fun hands on "tech trainings" I've experienced in a long time. The headgasket issues of Gen 1's had me a little nervous about trusting the car on any long trips. My 94 just turned 20000 miles. I finally took the plunge and...
Thanks Dom....I read that thread a few days ago and just wondered if I was getting the best bang for my buck with a good quality antifreeze. No one has said anything negative or "don't buy it so I'm going with the Zerex. It meets all the specs.
Have read numerous threads dealing with this issue so I am going to see if any new technology is being used. I am looking at getting 4 gallons of Zerex ZXGO5RU1 50/50 mixture with the demineralized water in it. My question...is this mixture as good as the Peak Global? Same, better or don't...
Ya know why cops and troopers wear neck ties? Keeps their foreskin from creeping up! Parts-rack "clothes pin plate holder is the best. I keep it in the trunk and "oh gee officer, I just wshed the car and forgot to put it back on. Please let me out so I can get it and put it on"! What can they say?
I hate to hear stories like this. Just fuels the fire for the next "low ball" give away and screws the decent cars that are for sale. Someone says "I know of a guy that got an 03 for 32K so your 04 is only worth 35". What a joke. Unless you're really hurting for money these low priced Vipers are...
EB3 Motorsports is a quality shop in Chantilly, Va. He offered me a Dyno Day at a group rate a couple of years ago. I think 50 or 60 bucks a car. These guys build some wild machines.
Check their website. EB3 Motorsports: Northern Virginia's One-Stop Performance Shop. I've been to their shop and...
Someone please end this can of worms. Pretty much been decided that wheels and heels were probably wet. This gal will never be the same especially if she reads the thoughts in these posts. Lots of Viper drivers can't handle the raw power no matter how much of a "driver" they think they are...
Saw a used 95 emerald green go on Mecum last week for 38,000. Had the tan interior and looked green. Made me feel good for Gen 1 prices. I believe the auction was live in Kissimee. Anybody else see that? Surprised there was no posting. If the guys wanting to unload their gen 1's would just hold...
All you gotta do is work the boot down and break the 2 nuts loose. Don't even mess with the plastic surround around the console. Maybe Stretch did something different for that particular knob but it is a very simple less than 5 minute job with 2 wrenches. Be careful working the boot down. I have...
Bottom line it looks like the surface froze over night after they sprayed too much water on the surface so they could get a smooth finish. Same thing happens when mud gets away in the summer and they try to keep the surface wet so they can finish it. Eventually the topping flakes off.
The...
