Check for 2 is in the mail today Gus. You guys that are meeting in Fredericksburg let me know when and where and I'll meet up with you. I'll be coming down Rte 3 and hitting 95 in Central Park.
How many Fredericksburg guys are going? Matt? Curtis? Hope to see you guys. :drive:
My sentiments exactly....I would consider an even trade for a ZR 1 but nothing less. C5's,ZO6's whatever it is all look the same. You'll be kicking yourself once you realize you've lost your exclusive status and you're just another "Vette guy". You're livin' a dream with the Viper. :headbang:
If we do plan a track day at Summitt Point and it's just us will they let an RT/10 run since we don't have a roll bar? Maybe someone could loan me a hard top that day if a Gen 1 with a hardtop shows up. Would love to run the course. Would also be in on a karting event at SP. I hear these are...
Matt....shoot me a PM. I used a small specialty shop here in Culpeper that 2 brothers run. They mounted all 4 of my new Kumho's and balanced them. Very nice job with no problems. Very reasonable. Then maybe we can do lunch and a ride. I think you have my cell number. Either way shoot me a PM.
I've got the Sneaky Pete oil cap and dip stick handle. Very nice MGW items. If I could have found the chromed Roe breather I would have preferred it. The best item I found to date has been the MGW Sneaky Pete shift knob. What a difference. I didn't like the First Strike knob but the round one is...
I'm up for anything. What time and where? I am very familiar with 601. Use to live on it just across Clarke Cnty line on the left off of 7. Fun road going over to 50.
Congrats on a great car. Depending on how much you intend to drive the PS2's are great tires if you drive a lot. They're about 1600 bucks. My car sits a lot and I wasn't going to have a set of 1600 dollar tires dry rot before they got a lot of miles on them so I researched the Kumho Exta XS's...
When I was looking for a spare I think ViperPaul on e-bay has them in stock for $75.00 a piece. Don't you just love the Viper tax? These are hard to find at a reasonable price. Try JonB. :2tu:
We got 26 inches here. Cable and internet just came back on 30 minutes before Super Bowl. Our cul-de-sac was the last to get plowed at about midnight. Roads are awful. No bare pavement in sight. Just like a washboard.
Come on Spring! 6 more inches due Tuesday. :omg:
Maybe I'm nuts but I have no idea where you are but if the road is cold and you nail it there is going to be all kinds of wheel hop. The other day before we got another 6 inches of snow here today, it was about 55 degrees here and I took my 94 out. Got her all warmed up along with the brand new...
Welcome John. You've got a great car and will have a lot of fun driving and working on it. My wife has the same height problem as yours and we have a 94. What I do is adjust the drivers seat back as straight up as you can get it with the small handle on the left front of the cushion and then get...
Looks like that's just a breather tube from the air box that came out of it's breather hole. Don't know why it says doesn't run. Car is 5 minutes from me.
I just found out from a dealer friend of mine that a 1994 red RT/10 with 22000 miles on it that was owned by a VCA member in Centreville is at an auction yard here in Culpeper. The current high bid is $5800 with 2 and a half days left. I looked at this car 2 years ago and it was perfect. There...
No set miles when leaking starts. Some guys have gone 50000 with no problems. Others just a few thousand. It's not a question of if they will leak it's a question of when. Have fun with it. Mine just turned 18000 and no leaks yet. I am getting ready to replace gaskets tho.
Great car! Once you get it back out put it up on a lift and get a bright flashlite or worklite and look at the rear of the block. You should see a brownish looking paper type gasket hanging out between the head and the block. If thats what it looks like then they are the originals. Replacement...
Pulled mine out of the garage and fired 'er up yesterday but with all the salt and chloride residue on the roads I'm still hesitant. Never left the driveway. Calling for potential heavy rain Sunday so I'm hoping that will wash away a lot of it. :rain:
Been itching to get it back out.
Won't...
Snow on my deck is 14 inches and climbing fast. I put the rag top and side curtains on and I am up for a cruise. 8 more inches on the way. What a mess in NoVa this weekend. :frosty:
The Viper Store has a great selection of Viper accessories but they are sky high on prices. They obviously don't do any comparison shopping. For example their chrome HVAC knobs are 109.00. MGW and Parts Rack are $65. Parts Rack and MGW are quality accessory vendors. Viper Store only in emergency...
I just want to take a couple of minutes to introduce myself to the Va/Md club members. This region has been very cordial and accommodating to my wife and I by letting us participate in Club events without being members. I appreciated that. The western Md Fall cruise was a lot of fun. Most Vipers...
My little brother is 6'7" and 310 lbs. He went and looked at an RT/10 for me when I was searching. The owner called me in hysterics as my brother left the shop in the Viper. He said he looked just like Lurch from the Munsters driving down the road. My brother's head was about 8 inches higher...
