This picture appeared in another thread on a different subject but notice the stone chipping behind the front wheel. This condition has started on my 03 with just 5K miles. It is going to happen if you drive it at all.
Is anybody trying to prevent this from happening and how. Mud...
I read several posts on people choosing or not the Optima battery. Okay I am new. Why so much battery discussion. Is there something special about the Viper requirement on a batteries?
As a new owner my '03 soneone stuck a red top optima in it, unless that is the stock battery.
Purchased Trunk Carpet Kit. VP of A is fast on the communication, have good prices and super fast delivery. Best part was the kit is OEM with the Viper Logo and fit like a glove. I am going back. They also support this forum.
Thanks Viper Parts of America!
Ok so does the treasurer live Fort Wayne? Is he on the forums? Can you give me any contact information on how to contact anyone in the Fort Wayne area?
As a new owner and in the Fort Wayne IN area I have seen other Viper around. One was Silver and the other a Metallic Red. Don't know who they are but would like to make contact. If you would contact me through the forums.
Thanks
Thanks I am a gym rat too. I visited Gold's Gym Venice a couple of years ago and the sign in the parking lot read "It is not the kind of car you drive but the size of the arm hanging out the window.":)
I humbly disagree. The car enhannces the arm out the window. :2tu:
I am looking for the same carpet for my 03. I checked the Partsrack and did not see this as a listed item on the site. JonB maybe you can help me find.
Also from what I can tell the trunk deck has carpet on underside too? Is this right?
Moderator Edit. No Ebay ad postings please.
Thanks Kelly for the pictures these are helpful Just one more question. Is the duffle bag shown in picture 2, part of the kit? What is in it. Thank again very much for taking time to shoot some pictures. I think you are right....I can add to my '03
Just to be clear. The MIL is not illuminated at this moment. I still will see if there are any thrown codes though.
But the original question centers on if it is normal for a Viper to buck in first gear while idling let's say while loafing around the Mall.
Many emphatically say this...
Thanks for all the responses. Here is some additional info. It is a 03 Viper. No mods except K&N and Borla exhaust.
It has a Malfunction Indicator Light (pic of engine) but not a CEL as such. According to the manual the MIL is an indicator that can be read with OBDII.
I chalked the...
As a new first time owner, other than my own Viper, I have not driven any other Vipers.
So here's my question. Should or does the Viper idle smoothly? When I am in first gear idling along it tends be pretty rough and often will buck. It runs great otherwise. Is this normal?
So many have said in other ways, but Viper Specialy really hit the nail on the head. Vette's are common. Yes certain models may be have some performance superiority but to the average Joe they still appears to be a just Vette. Most have to squint to see the differences. To me, it is not...
BillionDollarDan- Yep you are close. If you come in town, maybe we can meet. I have a busy schedule but I'd like to try.
RTTTed - thanks for the additional details.
