    gen1 side window question

I assume those go over (outboard) the plastic vinyl-looking wing on the end of the door?

    Gen1 straight pipe question

I had Gen 1 stock manifolds, 3" race cats, and 3" spiralflow mufflers... For the second drive I literally wore earplugs and was planning the next change. Straight through will be unbearable. Someone did a TT with electric cutouts. I remember seeing the video of the car on a dyno and when the...

    gen1 side window question

Not to copy Vmania's windows (well, until he stops making them maybe ;) ) but what is the construction? Do you have a picture of the inside frame and how the glass is attached? I made a moderately crude to OK version of hard windows using the frame from the vinyl curtains. I am not a...

Dedicated track version ACR on the way!

I'd like to be the fly on the wall in Fiat's finance office. To carry a small (down to 500 car production in 2010) and borderline obsolete inventory (i.e. when the 2012 car arrives) to keep a currently non-existent series (start in 2010?) going while the parent can't sell those cars... must be...

Its Holiday Time, So Just Daydreaming of Mods....

Peter, I have a Gen 1 with a stock Gen 2 exhaust on it - except no muffler in back. That means tubular exhaust manifolds, factory pipe to factory catalyst, stock muffler on the sides, up over the differential, and pipes heading rearwards; no 2 in - 2 out pipe muffler. The engine is close to...

Close call, almost totaled my Viper..I'm still shaking

Don't worry, I was baiting you. The name of your rear caliper upgrade starts with a "4"... But I agree with the intent of your comments - no matter what choice is made for the brakes, the mediocre performance of the original system needs help to be safe, enjoy the car, and drive in any-day...

Rear brakes! Still have some red covers free with purchase, adds the equivalent of an average 100 HP (over 200 peak HP) to your deceleration capability. For the rug rats, can be done in about an hour. For the budget, it's less than 5% of your total. Tator can do it for you; keeps them in...

    Help with 1997 Radio Bezel

According to the parts catalog (copies for 1992-2008 cars are in the Illustrated Upgrade forum) the BEZEL, Instrument Panel for a 1997 GTS (Coupe) is part number KS79MX4AB. There was only one color option listed - black.

    PVC Valve for 96 RT10

Well, that's good info since some online auto parts listings show the same PCV valve for "Dodge 1970-2004".

That, in an unintended fashion perhaps, is a daily driver kind of thing to do. :2tu: Where's Dave? Dave, you see this?

    PVC Valve for 96 RT10

That would be "pos i tive" crankcase ventilation... or does your ventilation come "post" the crankcase? Sean, look for a PCV valve from 1990-2000 Dodge V-8s (probably bigger grouping than even this). I had a 92 van with a 318 and the PCV valve looked the same.

    Quick oil question.....

If the marine application is more steady state and not too cold ambient temperature when starting, I would move up from 0W40 to 5W40 (synthetic diesel) or 15W40 (mineral diesel). At 100% load 100% of the time the lubricant chemistry of anti-wear, anti-oxidants, cleanliness become more...

Brembo GT 380mm Big brake kit

Yes, and I cleverly bypassed all the volume issues by saying 1000 psi brake line pressure. So whether you push harder or farther, at 1000 psi a caliper with greater piston area will have more clamping force. And consequently when you change calipers at one end and not the other, you change the...
