Best (lightest) 18 inch wheels are the SSR wheels.
I have had good luck with the Kumho V700 and Kumho V710 tires. The V700 has more tread than the V710 (V710 is track only tire.)
The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup is a great track/street tire, but it is not made in 18 inch rear sizes any more...
Anyone know the schedule for the Forum Wars? Looks like the first one is already up. (Mustang spanks 350Z) When are the others due out?
The Forum Wars
Was the Vette/Viper race a 1/8 mile?
I can finally access the software.
The instructions are a little vague.
How do I get my current tune information off of my car and into my computer? Is there any way to upload my current tune from the obd port in my car into the Xcalibrator device, and from there into the Advantage software so...
Yes, I faxed in the paperwork way back when I first got the software, and downloaded the updates from the update client.
I actually got through to them today. It looks like the problem may be on their end. They had a wrong letter on my ECM code (D instead of G) and this may be what was causing...
SCT's customer service sucks. I've been unable to use my SCT tuner or software, (keep getting an error when I try to run the software) and after numerous calls (all of which go on hold for 15 minutes then get disconnected) and e-mails to customer service, I have yet to receive any response from...
Just bolt on a Paxton. If you aren't going to track the car, a naturally aspirated build doesn't make sense. A naturally aspirated build will likely cost you 5 times as much per horsepower gained compared with a bolt-on Paxton kit.
Title says it all:
What are the complications to changing out the rear gears if you have a Quaife?
I currently have the stock 3.07 gearing, but am considering something different (3.55 or 3.73)
This is what I have in my car:
Rockland Standard Gear, Inc. | DODGE VIPER RACE TRANSMISSION
Lower 5th and 6th gear ratios, which is nice on a fast track.
Not a 2009, but my 2004 has an aftermarket stereo that I am quite happy with.
I had the center console replaced to accomodate a custom subwoofer enclosure.

Dan is wise. Heed him.
I too went the swaybar route initially. Several folks insisted that a stiffer bar would help. I installed a set of comp coupe bars in my car. It just made things very skittish and decreased stability on the track. I took them off not long after I had them installed...
I've let a handful of people drive my car, back when it was mostly stock.
Happily, no problems.
Since the mods, the only person who has driven it besides me has been my son.
Altitude makes a difference. I think those are sea level times.
Stock Gen 2 and Gen 3 both go about 160 mph at the Nebraska's Sandhills Open Road Challenge standing mile. (Altitude, 2700 feet)
For many years, I lived at the end of a dirt/gravel road.
Clear bra was all that kept my car's paint in decent shape. I too thought about "mudflaps" and would have bought some if they were available.
All right. I have figured it out.
Ever since I had the engine work done on my car (since before that, anyway) I've been taking it to the very same place to get my oil changed. I showed them the catch can with the screw on the bottom to drain it, and told them to make sure they drained it...
I have one on my car. (Precision shaft technologies.)
One of the benefits (other than being lighter and stronger) is that it is safer. If a regular driveshaft breaks, it can rip through the underside of your car, or "polevault" off the street.
A carbon fiber shaft, if it breaks, will...
