After several trips to Dave Harris's shop and having him work on my car, I have to say that I am impressed.
It's great to have someone local that I can trust with my car.
I had a strange noise (sounded like worn brakes) but it turned out to be a blown pinion bearing (the bearing at the junction of the differential and the drive shaft.)
Thanks for the feedback. I just ordered the software and hand-held from Daniel at Viper Specialty Performance.
As for my 600 hp build, it was done by Kevin Singleton at Exotic Engine, with help from the folks at DC Performance. It was a pretty comprehensive build. I don't think that there are...
I am moving to Utah.
I will need to get my car to pass Utah emissions.
My car is heavily modified and may need some substantial work done on it to bring it back to street legal specs.
Are there any shops in Utah with experience working on Vipers?
I would just send it to DC Performance in...

Not much difference, particularly if you install a decent roll bar, which will improve rigidity. I run NASA in my convertible and have a blast. These cars are all very stiff, and body roll isn't really an issue, even under severe cornering.
A convertible is a lot of fun. I live in...
I use Dynatech Vortex cones.
Made a significant difference in volume (but they also stopped the flames from shooting out of my side pipes when I downshift.) Before and after dyno showed no difference. (lost 2 or 3 hp, gained 2 or 3 tq, which is within the margin of error for the dyno.)...
How are they measuring downforce? Is it simply a calculated figure based upon speed and wind-tunnel derived numbers, or is it actually measured downforce?
I can't imagine that they ever tried shifting into 6th.
A lower 5th gear would have allowed them to run the straight in 5th gear rather than bumping along in 4th.
I have a shorter 5th and 6th gear in my car. Even with over 600 rwhp, it makes a huge difference pulling hard past 4th gear.
Open road racing, where I was constantly shifting between 4th and 5th gear convinced me to make the switch. The gap between 4th and 5th is just too large with the stock...
This is seriously awesome. It kind of feels like when my home team won the Super Bowl (only with less camera angles.)
SRT Rocks!
All those dumbass morons who are constantly yapping about Vipers not being able to handle can now just go STFU.
I don't mind the 3.07 gears from 1 through 4. Maybe not so good for drag racing, but I think they are very good for road racing. My only issue is with 5th and 6th.
My 2004 SRT-10 is in the June issue of Modified Luxury & Exotics magazine. A 2 page picture spread, and 4 pages of text.
(Just doing my part to fly the Viper flag.)
