I don't post that often, but thought this was an interesting thread. I bought my 01 back in 05' I think with 6800 miles on it. I just went over 41K in it now. I used to drive it much more than I do now. The funny part is, I have had to drive the Viper for the past 3 weeks while my wife's car is...
I have the grill on my Christmas list... Wife always needs shopping ideas...
I don't know who you guys have getting in your Viper, but I figure telling someone not to put there foot through the sub in the passenger seat is a pretty easy warning...
I just finished installing an 8" sub in the passenger footwell of my RT/10 to finally give some meaningful bass out of that car. I had no idea how well it was going to work out. If any RT/10 owners out there want to have unbeliveable bass in your cabin, let me know and I'll send you the...
I put my right foot in and slide into the seat, but I have cracked the left bolster over time (5 years). Guess I need to put some Sparco racing seats in now... Woops :)
I take my cattle dog in the Viper. A couple of towels over the seat and she's good to go. It's best with the top down. Chicks dig seeing a cute dog riding shotgun in the beast! :drive:
Now the German Shepherd and Siberian Husky are a different story... No Viper rides for them unless they're...
In the relentless persuit of some type of bass in an RT/10, I had Car Toys suggest something I hadn't thought of. They want to put a shallow mounted 10" or 12" sub in the trunk facing forward in the front curve where the spare tire goes. Then port a hole through to the middle speaker spot in the...
Got em! Thanks again JUCD... that gives me a really good reference point. Looks like they go right off the seam of the trunk lid. Now if I can just get them straight... :)
BTW: looks like we have the same stereo head unit... Alpine is the way to go!!!
Thanks JUCD! PM sent...
Cool... looks like they're centered under the backup lights... At least I won't be way the heck off if I get close to that... Not like you can really see them anyway with the car red and the emblems red :)
Anyone know where the rear bumper emblems are to be placed? Mine were stripped off when I got the car and I have no idea what dimensions to go off of to get them placed.
Of course my 2001 service manual shows exactly where to put the hood emblems, but nowhere in there specifies the dimesions...
I think I would have a hard time getting something else. I can't think of any car I would want more than the Viper. And if I did, there is plenty more skin for that logo. :2tu:
Hehehehe... I knew I wasn't the only one...
Bluesnake... it took just under 2 hrs, but the guy who did it is known for doing really fast tattoos... 3 sessions and $850??? You must have done waaaay much more than I got...
I can sleep good tonight knowing there are people just as demented as me...
I know i'm not the only one to get something like this done... Anyone else have some Viper Ink to show off?
Just got this yesterday... I was really happy with how the chrome look turned out...
I may just have to break down and go with a racing setup like you recommend. I do track my car and don't want this to be a constant point of concern when i'm on the track.
I was hearing a faint suspension noise when accelerating from a stop so I decided to check it out. This is the condition of my isolator a-arm bushings. they are chewed to crap. The car is a 2001 with only 15K miles on it. Any of you guys have this happen to you?
I guess my biggest question...
I'm draining my coolant today and the manual says to drain the radiator then remove the engine block drain plugs located behind the exhaust manifolds. I looked all over under there and can't find what they are talking about. The only thing that looks like some type of a drain plug is this:
it...
