How are you guys storing your hard tops? Hangers, shelf, leaning against a wall? I'm trying to think of where I am going to put this thing during the summer where it won't get damaged or too dirty as I work in my garage a lot.
Don't supposed someone makes a bracket that you hang on the wall...
I remember the salesman at my local exotics dealership trying to sell me a Porsche saying the Viper didn't handle worth a crap. I got a Viper anyway and absolutely love it.
To each his own. Like the guys said earlier, it takes a special kind of person to love the snake.
Thanks for the offer Rick. I think I may have it now. I had a friend help me yesterday align the trunk lid so the seams were perfect, then we were looking in there and it appears I lost some of the sealer gasket material they used at the factory to seal the rear quarter panel to the trunk...
I took a long look at it tonight at it seems like i'm getting some water from the wheel wells. I'm going to try a new seal, but im afraid I might have something more extensive. Just don't know who I can take it to to look at closer...
It does leak in some when I open the truck, but there are still puddles in there coming from somewhere. I'm going to try and add the o-ring material around the entire seal tonight and see what that does.
It seems like there is some splatter on the sides also like it's leaking from somewhere...
Re: Got the
IEATVETS - I've only had the car for a week, so I have to drive it. It's been raining, but I just can't let that beauty sit in the garage. Plus I get a chance to get used to how easy the wheels spin in the rain... :2tu:
My truck is leaking water when I wash it and/or drive it in the rain. I've adjusted the lock and the 2 rubber stoppers on each side, but to no avail. I then put some 3/16 o-ring material under the gasket to try and raise it a little bit. That helped somewhat, but i'm still getting water in...
Got the \"speaker in the hood\" question today!
I was at the gas station and a guy comes up and asks why there are speakers in the hood. I told him the sound waves wrap into the cockpit once the car hits Mach 1 (got that from the forum here). He said, "Hmmmm... Interesting". Then turned around...
Welcome Gene. Like Viprvenm, I too bought my Viper from Marv and Nathan at dodgevipersforsale.com. I received great service and a fair price. I was very happy with the experience.
I went through the same thing for ABS vs Non-ABS. I ended up getting an ABS car mainly because they had sold the...
I do the same thing as GTS Dean. Just get yourself out of the ruts and it rides much better. Just remember to COMMIT to a lane change when you do it. I like it. I'm forced to really drive the car. One of the great things about driving a Viper.
I think you can get a performance alignment that...
I’ve had my Viper for a couple days now and I have to say that it is the best car I have ever owned. What a road trip. Drove it 750 miles the first day from Fresno to Portland. Thanks to Marv at Dodgevipersforsale.com for coming through with an awesome car for me. I would highly recommend them...
I wanted to thank everyone from the Oregon Viper Club for making my wife and I feel so welcome at the meeting yesterday. I think I learned more in that meeting about my car than I have in the last 6 months on this forum.
What people say on this forum is definately true. Viper owners are some...
101.... Crap... I never even thought about that. I could have came up the coast... Would have saved the whole moutain range snow... Good call ceieio... Too bad it's going to be on a truck before I could get down there and get it...
Something tells me i'm going to be taking many long trips in...
I got a red 01 RT/10. 6700 miles on it and it looks damn pretty. :) As a matter of fact, it is this viper right here:

Hopefully, it will be put on a truck and get here before next weekend.
B Snake: I wanted to fly down and drive it back (only 750...
So I just bought my first Viper. Now the problem... I won't be getting it for at least a week. I'm not sure how i'm going to sleep this week knowing its on the way. :2tu:
I do know i'll be giving rides for 3 weeks straight. Anyone that has found out I have one coming has already asked for a...
I see... Guess that will be one of my first mods, or i'll just keep the rpms up before I shift.
I have a sneaking suspicion i'll be driving the car pretty hard for the first month or two anyway. :headbang:
I haven't heard of this "skip shift" before. Am I reading that correctly that if you have the rpms blow a certain number that the car will shift from 1st to 4th instead of 1st to 2nd?
that seems odd, but I don't have a viper yet. :)
