That is just plain funny.
You admit you notice a difference at night, but base your argument on the fact you can wear REMOVABLE sunglasses during the day and not get a ticket??
:dunno:
1) Of course cops can have tinted glass on their cars. Same was they can drive while talking on their cell phones. And same as them using a laptop right on the dash while they drive. Same as them turning on their lights to go through a "no right on red" intersection. Or same as them videotaping...
I just think it's odd that well before you took the car in, you called it on them insisting on replacing these specific parts. It's either like you are really Steven-Hawking-smart, or they know you are Lindsay-Lohan-dumb. I'm not saying I have an opinion on that, just weird how this is one big...
Where do I begin?
it looks like you may be correct and the wires appear to be in bad shape. We checked the books and it is a 4 hour job to change the wires...Plus you will need new manifold gaskets. It is 120$ per hour.
You may be correct? They are regurgitating something you said to them...
YOU are the one who's off-topic here.
The topic is how the plugs and wires are needed when you over-rev a motor. He already "pisted" about that.
Lots of attitude in these posts talking about actual solutions. You should focus on non-solutions like taking one valve cover off to "look around"...
There are different 4-pot Brembo calipers, so you cannot go on that alone. For example, GenII and GenIII both use Brembo 4-pistons. Different pads.
To answer the OP question, we need to know the application--street, track, how much of each?
He is not taking it to the dealer for a compression test! He is taking it for a wire and plug change, because last time he had a problem they changed that before moving forward on resolving internal issues. So he assumes they will again change the wire and plugs first.
He already zipped her back up.
Took the valve covers off to "look around" without any plan to actually make a diagnostic inquiry of any kind.
But he doesn't have time to run to the Autozone and rent a compression meter.
He's waiting for the wire looms. That will solve everything.
PS, the...
What setting are you using? Factory recommended or for some other application? How much street, strip, and roadcourse useage are we talking about? Thanks for your input on this subject.
By the time it's ready, the Gen V will be out. Any tuner would be crazy to be pouring R&D $ into this with a new and unknown model on the horizon. Unless they are on the verge of marketing it by this time anyway, I don't see it happening.
