Gladly. There are two routes, one up the Iowa side for part of the way, and the other up the IL side (a tad longer). Both take you right alongside the Mississippi. There's heavy construction on the I80 bridge still, so the Iowa side will be most convenient. Unfortunately both routes are...
A couple Viper owners from the Cedar Rapids area have put together a last-minute Viper cruise along the Mississippi River! If anyone in the area would like to join us, feel free to come along! Here is the email I sent to some other local owners (unfortunately mosts aren't VCA members yet -...
I'll forward the info to my mailing list. Make sure you contact Hooters and let them know you're coming - their parking leaves a lot to be desired. Savanna is my hometown - I know the area well!
Don't forget about us poor Iowa folks! ;) I've only been a member for a couple years, but was wondering if there had ever been any consideration of having it on a different night/time once or twice a year? It's a good couple of hours each way for us too, but I know a few of us would do it if...
At least the area code matches the listing (Antelope Valley). I lived up there a number of years ago - make sure you check it for sand damage! :rolaugh:
Just as I was drooling over the 01 ACR in the classifieds (which I would jump on if I didn't already have a sapphire/silver GTS), I see two more ACR's on eBay at what seem to be very good prices. Both are 99's (silver), one is in the 41's, and the other with more miles is in the 39's.
Just...
After seeing another thread titled the same, I had to post this photo from a car show this weekend. Sometimes everything comes together right - good sun, good angle, good camera, good polish. Amazing what a few coats of polish will do...
This statement makes me curious because of the way they worded it:
The pessimist in me reads it as "it was in a collision, but the repairs were done at a facility that didn't report it and unless you know what you're looking for, you'll never know". It may be the photos, but the fascia looks...
As a fellow Sapphire/Silver owner (non-ACR), I wish those numbers were correct. However, here are the actual numbers (from the Viper registry).
GTS w/silver stripes - 86 made (I don't see the breakdown of black interior vs. cognac for just the GTS w/silver)
ACR w/silver stripes - 49 made...
Was a great time meeting everyone again! So much fun to cruise in a group of 30ish Vipers through those small communities. I think our highlight was seeing the state patrol that had a minivan pulled over and then got passed by our caravan! I would've hated to have been in that van!!!
Anyhow...
We're planning on meeting up with the group at Culver's in Dixon, since we're coming from the west. Any other IA/IL members coming that way want to meet up and head there together?
I posted on this in another thread before, but if you have Allstate here's what I found out last fall (just installed a lift and this was first year of storage with it). I had my agent call an adjuster for clarification, so it was much more than just an agent's 'opinion'.
Normally I only carry...
I thought for sure it would be raining over there, so didn't make it this time! Glad to see a couple Vipers there - usually I'm the only one!
The black is probably Harry Tuttle's, he has a 94 RT/10 and that one looks like his. Drop me a PM with your email addy. A couple of us have been...
Seems we have people talking about two different things. One is the clearance at the top of the garage, the other is the clearance underneath the car when going up the ramps....
I too have to back in the GTS, as it does bottom out when going in front-first. The problem is amplified by my...
