Mine is an '03 SRT10. Yah, I'm in Cedar Rapids. Nice to "meet" all of you.
....and if you need any major work or mods to be done, just look down the road a bit North of I-80 for Mark Jorgensen and crew at Woodhouse Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Viper and Hurst. He and our Viper Techs work on tons of Vipers during the year and can work things out for those needing assistance.

Hey guys, I am currently overseas but my little brother and my Dad are watching my Viper in Waterloo. It is a 2008 SSG vert...I imagine that my little brother is doing bad things to it while I am away. He does get down to Cedar Rapids from time to time if you see it cruising around. I will likely take a break next summer sometime (I have been over here in the Stan for just under 6 years) and would be interested in getting together for a cruise if you all are game. We live just down the road from the new casino if you guys want to meet up there. Should be putting bronze star plates on it soon so it should be easy to spot (as well as the fact that it is Snakeskin Green). Let me know if you guys are game and we can put together something cool for the Iowa owners...we need to see how many of us there are and maybe get some events together.

I am always up for a ride. Have cruised with BamBam and his wife, they are great, fun people. I second getting something put together for a Spring event, or heck even a fall cruise. Who knows, if we pick a date, we may get lucky on the weather..... thoughts?

I just looked at the calendar... how about the 17th or 18th this month? We could "block off" those 2 days and see what the forecast is when it gets closer and just stay in touch here as to which day it will be. Just trying to up the odds for a fair weather cruise.
I would be more than happy to organize it if there is interest. I'm thinking late morning departure.... cruise somewhere for an afternoon lunch and cruise back. Nothing complicated, just fun.

I'm in. I'd be cool with heading out from CR and heading to the Quads to meet up with others for a nice drive up or down the river. The 17th / 18th I think are open for us so we can keep an eye on the weather.
Anyone mind if I lead a pack of bikers along with us? They might be wanting to do a fall ride along the river. I think it'd be cool to have a pack of bikes and a pack of Vipers!

Just spoke to the wife and we're in! I'll fire off a note to the bikers in our group and see if they're interested. If it's a Saturday it shouldn't be a problem. Sunday may limit the field due to football.

I'm in Des Moines, there are quite a few vipers here in town and we enjoy the occasional sunday cruise. I also own and operate a small auto repair and maintenance facility in Clive, Iowa. I am double master certified and Viper certified, we service about five vipers here. If you are in need of someone to care for your baby, let me know.

Phun70, thanks for the heads up on your shop...I will probably be putting some Belanger headers on next spring and some other small mods like a short throw shifter, etc. PM me the info on your shop (location, phone contact) and I will give you a call when I am ready to get the work done.
Here in Omaha I have started a database of local owners and we communicate thru email and have regularly scheduled events. The Forum works but can get congested with posts. Maybe next Spring we can all meet up somewhere between Omaha and Iowa.

Looking at the forecast, it doesn't look too bad for a cruise this weekend. Obviously we'll have to wait to see if the forecast holds but I'm definitely looking forward to a day long cruise and meeting some other Viper owners.

I am still keeping my fingers crossed for some good weather. I looked at the forecast here in the QC area and right now both days look good with Sunday being the warmest
If we are able to get something set up, would it be OK for me to extend the invite to a couple of non Viper owners. One being a pretty wicked Blue SRT4 and the other being a C5 Z06? Not sure if they can make it or not but figured I would ask before asking them

This sounds like a fun event but can't afford to take more time off work to make a full weekend out of it. I just went to Monster Mopar a couple of weeks ago in St Louis, fun as always but only saw 4 other Vipers out of 700+ show cars

Didn't know anything about but it's too far for me to go this weekend. It's probably a 10 hour drive for me, if I remember right. I'd have to make a 4 day weekend out of it and can't do it this time.

I don't mind having some other makes / models along. I don't think the Harley bunch I was talking about will make it due to the temps but we'll see.

I have no problem with others joining. The more the merrier!!
In fact, if it's too cool, I may even have to bring the SRT/10 truck instead of the RT. Gets a little cold with no top.

OK everybody. Just looked at the forecast. Both days are looking promising, with Sunday being a little warmer. I'll probably make a call on which day by Thursday so we get a little closer and hopefully have a more accurate picture. Is that cool with everyone?
