Great photo tutorial, but I'm curious about your warnings of which order to take the negative/positive off. I've always been taught the other way around (take negative off first, connect it last). A good explanation of why is here:

Finally got them on! Fresh PS2's thanks to the VCA raffle last fall and inexpensive 6-spokes thanks to Chrysler and their financial wisdom! :D Old set was PS1's, you can definitely tell the difference! Heard every rock and pebble on the road!
Taxi - My bad for reading more into it than you meant.
I'm not passing judgment on the price/etc., but if you look at the photos he posted in his ad, they do not reflect the actual condition of the car - hence my post with additional photos. Any buyer 'should' do their own due diligence and...
Sigh, I guess the saying is true, no good deed goes unpunished. I was simply posting the photos that weren't in the listing that the seller mailed to me privately in case anyone else was looking at it. In fact, I was looking for a car that needed a repaint so I could choose a custom color...
(not my auction, just passing along buyer-beware information)
If anyone here is looking at this car (he's had three offers on it so far), here's additional photos they sent me. As you can see, she looks like she has led a hard life...

Had that happen to me on my Dodge Ram when one of the brand new tires just wouldn't take. Tech explained to me that larger tires/rims cause problems on smaller machines (pushing the limit of what that machine is designed for). They then pulled out a large canister of highly-compressed air and...
Had originally posted this photo in the Members Only section with questions, but now it is confirmed authentic. Only 5 of these will be made for the Canadian market - direct from the factory, not aftermarket.
Something about that paint scheme makes it look like it isn't a Viper. With it and the wing, I had to click thru to see more photos - otherwise it looked like a kit car.
Yeah, I probably will again. Did that last year and got a big fat yawn. Seems the vast majority of Viper owners in our area are not VCA members because of the distance to their local VCA chapters. I'd say for every VCA member there are at least 5 non-members (active drivers, not garage...
We've put together a small group of owners that can't always make it to Chicago, Minneapolis or Kansas City to the official VCA events, and last year got a solid dozen Vipers to get together late in the year. We'd like to do a couple get-togethers/cruises/etc. this year, so if you are in...

Good start and at a great price! ;) I don't see anything there that will increase your insurance premiums, but quite a few will retail for $3-$5/each!

I kinda like the exterior color (just the orange, not all the extras...). But, are those hood pins I see? Why put those on a car with a rear-opening hood?!?! Even if just to pose...you aren't fooling anyone!
Was a fun time - thanks to everyone in the IL VCA for putting this on (even though I did get shut out of the raffle for the SECOND year in a row)!!! Next time maybe we can do laps around the room in the provided Vipers?!?! ;)
Maybe it was just me, but the food was much better this year...
