    01 GTS radiator hose question

If I’m correct factory or aftermarket rubber hoses have not been available for years and therefore people get silicone

    01 GTS radiator hose question

Tension clamps are much better. As the name implies they provide a constant force. Screws type, due to the compression of the rubber material in the hose, need to be periodically checked/tightened Also, most of them, due to the design, have a tendency to cut/damage the hose surface

    01 GTS radiator hose question

Bad idea and very poor workmanship If needed, you can bleed the system by disconnecting 1 hose at the heater valve located on top of the hvac box on the passenger side

From what Material is the floor section made on a GTS Gen 2?

It’s steel for sure Removing the door jamb trim to pull the carpet is easier said than done because the plastic trim is retained by screws that hide behind some plastic plug/cap that cannot be removed without any damage to the plug or trim and they have been nla for a very long time

Experience on door sag/hang up on GTS

No, try to picture it, the body flange is the male part and the u channel on the back of the weatherstrip is the female part. You file down the flange. Just pull up the weatherstrip, once you see what I’m taking about, it’s pretty obvious

Experience on door sag/hang up on GTS

You don’t completely remove the weatherstrip, you just lift the bottom part a few inches on both side of the safety latch There is no adhesive on that part of the weatherstrip, it’s just a U channel with metallic clips encased in the rubber that grip the body flange

Experience on door sag/hang up on GTS

I bought my 00 GTS brand new and had the same issue right from the beginning. Fix was very simple, remove weatherstrip and file down the lip/seams that the weatherstrip sit on By doing so you lower the weatherstrip and fix the problem. Just file a little bit at the time and try until you get it...

Advice on 1999 GTS Purchase with title issues

Original ACR/BBS wheels were 18", not 19". It's all depend on your financial situation, you are not going to find a "no issue" Gen2 for low to mid 20, so if you can't afford to spend more money, buy it and enjoy it.

Viper Track Event at Buttonwillow Jan 17-18, 2015

Sure can: let assume that the break even point is reached at 55 drivers. Make sense since it what they say they need to run the event. Between the entry fee from those 55 drivers ( $21,725) and the "sponsorship money" referenced by Dan in it's post, all costs, the ones I listed + West coast...

Viper Track Event at Buttonwillow Jan 17-18, 2015

Seems to have touched a raw nerve here.... AZTVR: There must be at least 500 events going on every year at California 7 road racing tracks. Do you really think that 1 or even a few more will make any difference? Did I try to advertise the name of my business? Nope. So that has nothing to do...
