    Funny, when the SRT10 ( Gen 3) came out in 2003, Dodge was claiming that the single TB intake manifold was "better" and an "improvement" over the double TB of the Gen 2. Same with the hood. Better and improvement to their bottom line may be, to the car, no way. Pure marketing BS

    OK, got all the parts together and will start building kits next week. The LED are connected to the instruments lighting and therefore light up exactly like any other switches or gauges, including the dimming function.

    You need to find some 12v T1 LED and be pretty good with soldering and wiring. That say, without the right pins to put in the unused cavities of the connector, it become way more complicated. I could walk you through it you want. Just pm me

    look at the top of your switch, you will see a clear window. The LED is behind it. if not good enough i can take some pictures but someone is going to have to school me on how to post them here.LOL

    Some background; The power window switches in the Gen2 come from a minivan and already have a green LED in it for night illumination. Dodge, because I believe the difference in color ( as you know instrument backlighting is amber/orange), decided no to wire the LED I have done the mod years...

    I did a write-up on it back in 2003 but the problem is that without the female pins you need to solder wires on pins # 6 and 7 on the switch, not the most pratical thing.

    Working on making a kit for gen2. Need to find out who is the manufacturer on the wirring connector to the switch in order to get some female pins that will fit in the factory unused connector cavities. Any idea?

    If you read my previous post i said that i put one my 00 GTS so, yes it fit. The hood do not have the holes ( but have the recess) for the retaining clips so you do have to drill them . no big deal but make sure that you don't drill all the way.

    If I remember correctly the Gen1 has a pad ( Jim is correct, that's the official name) on the right but not on the left and vice versa for the Gen2

    Gen1 have the right side heatshield, not the Gen2. I did put 1 on my 00GTS. Part # is : KS21DX9-AC
