The Gen-IV has a very efficient clean motor (partially due to our VVT), so clean, that you can run LT headers w. cats and still pass emissions (here in lousy CA). Since I imported my car into CA, I also payed the emissions $$ tax $$ and had similar very low numbers.
Do they still make paper shop manuals for the Gen-IV? I thought only CD-ROM was available. I love paper manuals and would also buy a copy (not a fan of the electronic, having to print the pages to take into the garage.)
They are much stickier than the Sports. They once made them in 345/18 (I have some mounted on "my other car"), but unfortunately, they stopped making this size.
Never would have ditched my '08 OEM exhaust, but for a 40+ rwhp bump from Belanger, what a deal. The added exhaust note, a secondary benefit, adds to the car's personality/bite. I still can't get over having a NA engine that puts down about 600 rwhp (w. offroad PCM). This most likely is the...
Anxiously awaiting a call from DCP that my new Mopar controller and 6-pt belts have arrived and are ready for installation. Currently running Torco in my tank for the upgrade/dyno :-) DCP has installed my Bellanger exhaust and my Penske coils/shocks, and so far, I've been very pleased with...
Piece of rubber? I've been using just a c-clamp against the old pad and it works just fine...there's never any scratching of the caliper. Ultra cheap, and effective.
Hey Flash1034,
I was the all blue '08 that was at the SoCal Car Control event. A set of 295mm rubber will definitely help raise the bar on your car. You will be able to go a little faster, but ultimately, you will plow. More rubber on the gound will definately help. The 305 would be fine, if...
About 90-minutes, with 3 beers. It's really easy, although the most difficult part for me was putting the seat in the car. I scratched my shift console and ended up purchasing a replacement (about $150). Use a towel over your center console, and recline the seat back when putting it back in...
I'm 6.6' and couldn't fit in my '08. The 2-inch kit works perfectly - no codes. I didn't disconnect anything, just relocated a magnetic switch that appears to be used to shut off, or reduce the charge, of the air bag when the seat is moved to the full forward track position. Relocating the...
The kits are produced by Northwind Engineering. I purchased my drivers side kit directly from Northwind, and my passenger kit from Woodhouse. I've installed the drivers side kit, but haven't gotten around to do the passenger side kit (I'll need to relocate the amplifier).
The posts you have...
Please see if a 2-inch lowering kit is available for the passenger seat; I'll relocate the amp (and whatever else is stuffed under there) to the trunk. I really want to get rid of that 18 lbs. of weight. I'll give you a call Monday to order.

I would like to shed my 18 Lbs. passenger seat track. Do you know the weight of your 1" passenger seat mounting hardware, preferably one without the added weight of an adjustable track?
It's very good quality; I'm happy with it. Autogeek posted a 20% off coupon code (FORUMONLY) on one of the other forums. Good until tomorrow, 8/17 midnight. There were a few exclusions, so verify you get the discount during checkout.
I purchased a nice folding reflecting shade from Autogeek (drop shipped from manufacturer). They only showed a shade for a Gen-3 convertible, but it fits my Gen-IV Coupe perfectly.
I also don't believe that porting the intake/heads is going to fly without throwing codes, although such a package is currently being marketed. I'll be the first in line for Gen-IV NA engine mods as soon as someone can program a tune.
If Venom proves to be a PITA to crack, then the tuners have the option of working around Venom as they have for other cars in the past. A piggyback controller (i.e., EPROM chip) could be used to modify signals to/from Venom. In 2-3 years, I'm sure we will have either solution to support future...
Mark, thank you very much for clearing the air on this.
My installation of Northwind Engineering's 2" kit on an '08 was pretty easy. No modifications outside the provided instructions were necessary.
It looked pretty apparent that the proximity sensor is a simple on/off switch triggered when...
I purchased my 2" lowering kit from Northwind Engr., and installed it on my driver's side '08 seat.
I looked at the seat position sensor (a metal proximity sensor), and found that it would be adjacent to metal when the seat was from midway to the far back position, so I zip tied it to the...
We have the VVT redesign, which is radically new but has shown to work without incident, and we have the proven Hemi reciprocating parts. We also haven't heard any reports of Z06-style valve train failures, so we seem to be OK here too. Dodge has also made some notable improvements on the...
