One will never know and why not? Because something as trivial as keeping track of how many were built is not done (or we'd have the #s - see the post in the SRT forum about how many Yellow 2005s were built). Most major manufacturers can tell you how many were built, by color, etc.
Regardless...
This is pretty sad...why can't DCX be able to say how many Yellow (and Red, Black, etc.) Vipers were made in 2005 (and 2003, 2004, etc.)? I hate to say it but maybe if GM buys it we'll be able to find out. This is not rocket science folks, it is merely counting!!!!!
Someone refresh my memory: the key for my '06 had Fang on it but I cannot recall what was on my '94, '95, and '97 keys...anything? Sneaky Pete? And did the '92 & '93s have logos on their keys?
I am trying to prove something to someone thus the questions - this is the place to get the...
Old time hot rodders (like my Dad) rig spark plugs in the exhaust to get flames - real flames though and just a momentary one. One of these days I might have to get my Dad to help me do it to the Viper.
Try Grundy Worldwide...I am wrapping up my wreck process with them now and I give them 2 thumbs up. And you do a stated value policy with them so you decide what you get back.
Re: My New 05 Viper Search Is Finally Over \"PIC\"
To each their own - there is no way in hell I would drive the one I just bought from CA to FL, even if the weather was decent, which it isn't!!!!
Speaking of Viper #s for beyond 2003...where are they? Surely someone must have a point of contact somewhere to get this information, broken down by colors possibly but at the very least, total #s produced!
Got another reply from the SRT folks:
"The Forum post is Not True. I was unaware of the 3/11 Summit Point discount. So forgive me for incomplete info. As of 2/28/07 there are no other discounts offered to VCA for any future events, besides 3/11 at Summit Point. if one is announced for an event...
This is an email I received from SRT:
"There was not a letter sent out. It was an email sent directly to VCA members in TX Only.
The discount was offered to VCA Members in TX for the Thursday Feb 22 SRT Event at Texas Motor Speedway.
This was done as a test event promotion only as the 22nd...
I got my first, a '94 RT10, up to 135 (top down) when the front started to get a real light feel...I thought of those racing boats lifting up an flying backwards so I let up.
Other than that, I got my last '05 to about 120 but I was in a northbound lane (going south) so I had to slow down to...
