I drove a new one home about 500 miles a couple months ago - you can drive in 5th and 6th at the same highway speeds thus varying the RPMs. Hold off on the burnouts for a while and generally take it easy.
On the otherhand, some argue you should break it in the way you intend to drive it...
I live in Palm Coast, about 35 miles north of Daytona Beach. We were spared the winds/tornados but got a crapful of rain - 6+" (my rain gauge overflowed). Check out this web site since they are posting road closings, etc.:

My guess is everything will be cleared by later today...
I have been putting out some feelers, for when my accident claim is completed:
I found a new/untitled Red '06 Vert. for $66,500 and 2 new/untitled Blue '06 Verts. for $67,500.
Great car but getting an offer in the 60s might be tough...I've seen new/untitled '06s for $66,500 and someone else posted a new/untitled '05 selling for $60k.
No previous accidents for me and I guess it was my fault, unless I convince the Judge that the guardrail jumped in front of me.
I will be sure to post what happens to my insurance when the dust settles.
I've had 2 Gen Is, a Gen II and a Gen III (all verts), which just got wrecked...another Gen III is in my future. Each one has its pros & cons but it is hard to argue with the latest technology. My Uncle on the otherhand is a purist and still has the '95 he bought new; he'd never consider a...
I already talked to them (Grundy) and they said it is too early to tell me what will happen since they don't know what their payout will be, etc. And I assume it will be quite a lot!
My Dad & Uncle live in the Buffalo NY area and are big motorheads...they have a couple great plating shops they use often so if you need me to find out who they recommend/use let me know and I'll call them.
No, I have not been dropped...the adjuster has not even seen the car yet. But assuming it gets totaled they will paying out some big bucks. And I would hate to get another one and find out I cannot get insurance!
I now it is just a little more than a week since the wreck but I am thinking ahead towards when I get a replacement Viper and need to insure it...anyone have an experiences and/or advice?
Thanks for asking. My wife & go back to the hospital to have our stitches taken out and follow-up...we are both still sore and have nagging headaches but we are walking & talking, which is good.
The insurance company's adjuster will probably not see the car until early next week (it is...
Forget it - I just talked to Roanoke and they said that was reported in this thread a couple posts ago is not true - they do have a 2006 Red/White striped Coupe with just under 1300 miles for just under $83K.
The car was sliding as it hit the guardrail head-on, slightly to the driver's side, then went backwards where the driver's side rear/side hit the guardrail again. What you see to the right of the pic above (Red paint/scuffs) is the where the fascia flew & bounced down the guardrail...a big...
I was going about 40 in first gear, shifted to second and gave it some gas. At least I think so...happened kinda fast if you know what I mean!
I've been on the phone all morning talking to the insurance company, police, etc. and took some pics of the car & guardrail that will be posted...
Thanks everyone...that is what makes this club the best.
The driver's side nose of the car hit the guardrail and then bounced back throwing the side of the car into the guardrail. I have a couple pics of the guardrail I was able to take this afternoon that I'll have F355 post. And when I get...
