Okay I'm getting ready to instal a sub in the rear of my 2000 GTS. I'm looking to see what other people have done to put subs in their car. If you made a custom box or if you bought something that worked for you. LMK what your solutions might be.
Please post photos so I can see how it looks.
I like the work you have done. I have a few questions. Does the plywood run from side to side in the rear trunk over the spare? In other words is it just around circle sitting there. Is it locked down in any way or just sitting on top? Were did you get the sneaky pete mat for the rear.
I know some guys may not like these but I like them for my street wheel.
I had my Gen II wheels painted metallic black (gas cap too). I get a ton of comments on how good they look, and the difference in the appearance of the car. Total cost $600
I just recently did this to my Gen 2 here is my post for guys that need more info. There is some instal photos here as well to help understand what needs to be done.

I think your one of the lucky ones. I did my pulley last weekend. The stock pulley would not come off. I broke and the center portion had to be cut and ground off. The new pulley had to be milled out slightly (Dave's pulley) Then heated to one million degrees! Before it could be pressed on with...
I got it from a member on here for a steal. I did not use either method for putting it on. It's hard to explain how I did it. I put both cables on the basicly compressed the springs on the cables and stretched the cable over the black slider on the end. (not the black pulley end)
The black is actually metallic but you cant tell in the photo.
I would like to get some push pins instead of the bolts, but nobody ever said a thing about the bolts to me.
I would not chrome it. I actually painted mine black to match the wheels I had painted at the same time. Chrome is way over done, the whole bling thing is over. I used some allen head bolts to bolt mine back together.
Did you ever find the plastic window regulator guide? I need to buy one mine broke as well. It would really be great if you could pass on any information for me.

Anybody out there that can help?
Okay here are a few photos of what I need. It's a window regulator guide for a 2000 GTS. I suspect the part is the same from any GEN II year. This is a small plastic part that it connected to the window with a clip and regulator track at the same time and actually holds the window in place...
The stock 18" wheels fit right up no problems. Plenty of clearance in front and rear.
The faux covers I found on Ebay they come with mounting bolts. They look better than the crappy rear calipers. I think I'll pull them off and paint the calipers red. Then ditch the covers. For now they are fine.
Okay guys after many weeks of deliberation I decided on the Stoptech kit.
Six piston up front 4 piston in the rear. The kit was easy to install. With the help of Lance from the SoCal club and his lift and tools! We started at 7 am and we were doing the first test drive at about 11 am. The front...
Mike,
Just curious, what kit did you go with for the front and rear. 4 piston or 6 in front? Also which wheels are you running and did you have any clearance issues?
Hirk
Thanks for the advice, I don't appreciate the smart ass remarks.
I don't get brake fade on the street. In fact this thread is not really about brake fade although that is part of braking or not. I drive my car on the track very hard and when I do I want more brakes. I want more pedal feel. The...
