that picture looks like some serious front end damage. that front wheel should NOT look like that. Pushed back a bit to far. I kissed a curb once in my old GTS and required some frame realignment and new control arms, etc. and it looked better then that before the repair.
cheaper to buy already built but may cause more headaches. Do your research on the car and as stated, have a tech go through the car in and out (leakdown, etc). If you get a modded car thats been pushed and after a 1000 miles it breaks down on you will end up paying more in the end (removal...
Sounds so familiar...as I did the same but wife realized i had purchased a viper after the car cover blew off it one day (parked across the street from my house).
I think the silver viper ur referring to was a pearl white and it's a guy who post on here. Cars making something like 1200 on low boost and 1500 on high. It's a ugr twin turbo. He's run some fast times so it's probably the track. Doubt anything broke.
I mentioned this in my previous post. A taller rear. I'd be interested after test of a similar gear. Someone mentioned they have one in development.
Wonder if they would be in negative to this. You would lose some low end grunt but would make up for on the top in and staying in gear...
01 ACR-id start at low 40s but if your trying to sell quick then mid 30s
SRT high 30s low 40s. Provided both are in excellant condition. To be honest I'd hold out on selling the ACR for mid to high 40s if you can. I know a member who purchased a red 97 GTS with more miles for 45k
This is mild compared to a SRT that won best in show for vipers at a local mopar car show (15-20 vipers in attendance). Had stickers everywhere, the kind from the bubble game machine, chrome everything.
Was your car stock with just 3.55 or 3.55 and paxton? and I assume the z06 your referring to was stock.
So the 3.55s kept you in the game until 5th except for the slight gains the z06 had on the shifts. Well i guess that's 'better' news for pulls from 1-4th.
I have 3.55s and pretty much...
A 5 adn 6th gear swap would be useless in this case as his runs is only to top of 4th. Can a revised 5th and 6th gear make up 2-3 car lenghts the z06 has put on the viper and who can actually get to the top of 5th on the highway 99% of the time, let alone 6th.
...and im praying for this boom as my viper is going nowhere unless I have to sell for a kidney transplant from all my drinking....and even then I'll leave it to my kid to sell as i m driving it to the grave.
I know this may sound crazy but hear me out....has anyone thought of putting taller gears in the viper, taller then stock, like something under 3.07, maybe a 2.93 or 2.86 like the benz Mclaren has. Should allow the viper to trap higher mphs in each gear. Might be a nice combo for the roe...
If im not mistake, someone on here put a twin screw supercharger (not the roe) on there SRT, or am i thinking it was on there GTS. either way Iam sure it can be done with some modifications. Sean would be a good resource.
Any one have a Roe GTS willing to do a few runs with Nineball?
The z06 is just making more power under the curve. Plain and simple and as plum stated I bet the drop per shift is close to 1000 as opposed to 2000 Tleast when I shift I drop about a grand and I shift below average to average. Again a roe with same power would be nice to see in this line up...
Also to the point of the Paxton only making 2lbs at 2k. Sunds about right as my old gts only made 4-5 lbs at 5800 rpms. I think this is were head cam work work so well with the Paxton cars as your getting the power of a NA car down lie with the power pull of a blower up top.
Great comparison. Z06is making more power under the curve which wins races. Not peak power which you have to shift when it's reached. Also the vets rpm range is what makes another big difference. Because as you stated the viper will catch up/pull on the Z06 until it has to shift. Ain't no...
Sounds similare to a stock viper at low/part throttle, or atleast mine felt like this. My paxton is responsive but I have 355 gears also. Not to mention the paxton takes power away (75-100hp to spin) at the lower rpms which my be the cause of the lackluster feel. Also I think it helps to have...
