I am looking for the old owner of my Red 97 GTS. Where is what I know.
The owner had a place in Lubbock, Texas and a place in New Mexico. He traded my 97 GTS and his 03 cobra in on a Roush Track car. I found an old insurance card in my owners manual with his name, wifes, and daughters. Along...

had a break in the weather today finally and drove it to work for the first time. People I dont even know are coming to my office telling me nice car.
Rain the rest of the week though. So back up it will go.
It has been raining down here in houston now for well over a week. I bought my viper in dallas, drove it around for the day, then parked it in my garage.. I have been itching to drive it again, but not in this nasty weather.
Help me out here...
in 98 dodge switched the the 75w oil in the trannys to get rid of the "nuetral gear rattle". My 97 has this and I have been told and read in some TSB's to switch to the 75w oil. Side effect is in the cold it's harder to shift gears? Should I just live with the rattle, or...
I'll have access to a lift and tranny jack. Got a few of those 3" extensions also. They are life savers. This sounds like it's just as easy as a mustang for the most part.
If you don't mind, can you post of picture of this 18mm wrench? I'll go buy harbor freight and pick up a cheapy to...
My dad is an instructor at a college that has a dodge program. I think he can get parts "at cost". If that's the case I got hooked up in that case;) If not I'm checking out the vendors for sure. I just joined the VCA today.
I'm still going to hold out on the clutch setup. This car might...
Pretty sure it's a t/o bearing. When I press in the clutch the rattle goes away. I'll check everything else while i'm there. I have no idea what all is done to the car. This will be a good chance for me to find out. Guess I'll just go ahead and replace the slave while I'm at it.
I'm in...
Only flaw I can find with the new viper is the t/o bearing rattles some. From what I can read, I can just replace the bearing and keep the slave cylinder. My question is this. In the service manual it states that the u-joint bolts on the driveshaft need to be replaced after disasembly.
Truth...
Become friends with a good painter.. Let them do the work "on the side" and save you a few grand and still have the quality paint job. They ussually make out better in pay also. It's a win win situation
LOL....
Well so far no complaints. I know for a fact this car is faster then my 500rwhp turbo mustang. So I'm really currious to find out what kind of rwhp numbers this thing puts down.
Well I picked up the car. Checked it over real good and put it up on the rack. I found out more information on the car when I got to the dealership. Hennessy apprently did most of the work. It has heads/cams, full exhaust, etc. Drives like a dream.
I think my father teaches viper techs... lol. I know he has 2-3 vipers he teaches on at work. Back when I lived at home and him and I went to car shows to promote the automotive program at his school I used to drive a red 2001 GTS all the time. Of course it wasn't supposed to be driven, but what...
Good to see it has headers.. Are the edelbrock ones good? Got to be better then stock right?
Yeah i'm just not a huge fan of the wheels. They will do for now, but I know new wheels will be purchased in the future. Yeah I'm bringing my father, which teaches in the dodge training program at a...
