While it may be acceptable to the DOT, the car has been engineered for operation with the doors in-tact. If you got in an accident with the doors out you lose a LOT of protection and probably the integrity of the cockpit.
Hi Roy,
When I did my Stoptech line install, I vaguely (it's been about 8 years) recall having to call them and get one side swapped out with the manufacturer. I think the bag was incorrectly "stuffed" and I believe it was a problem with the bracket not lining up -- it was pointed the...
TOTALLY agree Sun! On every point... It's like you read my mind!
One more item though:
Pre-crash event module (Black Box) NO THANK YOU!
In all fairness, I'm sure the 2003-2008s are equipped with them too.
Here's a fun one! Versus median household income figures:
1992 RT/10
- Original MSRP: $50,000.00 --in 2012 Dollars with household income correction (97%) = $84,173.09
1996 GTS
- Original MSRP: $66,700.00 -- in 2012 Dollars with household income correction (103%) = $94,558.01
2003 SRT10

Great work! It looks like you put a lot of effort into that video and it certainly was enjoyable to watch and listen!
Thanks -- I'll be passing it along.
I'm not affiliated with them and was simply sharing my experience with the rest of the Viper community. Is this not allowed anymore?
Please advise,
Thanks.
First, you need to check ALL of the 3rd member mounting bolts and ensure all suspension bolts are tight in the rear of the car (left and right). It's a very common issue and usually it boils down to a bolt that worked loose.
Failing that, you may have a cracked half-shaft but check all those...
Well, when you run a car that hot, it's best to NOT shut the engine right down (of course, with no accessory drive belt motion, you had little choice!). Let the coolant circulate for 5-10 minutes to avoid heat pockets that can cause warping. Your engine is probably fine though. The Viper...
Hi Rich. That's probably not a great idea. You're best off with an oil designed for your engine. 5-30 or 10-30 is fine. Synthetic may be preferable but just be sure to keep up on your oil changes and it's unlikely you will run into any trouble. The Novi units are pretty reliable.
Have fun!
For a Gen2, the 2000 unit is recommended. The 2500 takes longer to generate boost due to the larger compressor wheel... unless you're looking to make over 750RWHP
Probably the battery, but if you can get under the car, check the plug going into your transmission towards the tail housing (reach up -- I *think* it's on the passenger side) -- anyway, the wiring may need some work or a loose connector or...
Good luck and enjoy the car!
What are you guys doing to manage the heat generated by the addition of the Paxton? My Gen 1 motor with a Gen 2 cooling system upgrade can overheat when I'm driving aggressively in ambients over about 85 degrees.
Are you asking how much HP can the stock unit support or the actual flow number? You may want to talk to some tuners as the actual flow "figure" can be somewhat misleading.
