One day, a long time ago, there lived a woman who didn't whine or complain and totally supported her man in car-related decisions.
But that was a long time ago and just that one day.
The end:)
THIS. If its as bad as mine was before it was addressed it'll slap your u-joints around in a bad way. You can set the RPM above which the ECU completely cuts fuel to the injectors when the throttle position is decreased. Its basically for spirited driving.....if you're cranking at 4000 rpm...
That's pretty definitive......when both are stock the Gen IV wins. I had an 08 Z06, liked it but sold it because for some reason it just didn't feel as "connected" to the driver or the road as a C5Z or my Gen 2. Great car for sure but not for me.
Not on GTSs. The dabate was waged several times over the past few years, I looked for the definitive posts from the experts but couldn't find it. You may be able to find it....the best info exchanges were a couple of years ago.
I think there may be a difference between the GTSs and RT/10s...
I think a lot of people keep 'em.....if you're on a trip its way easier to carry the limp-along than to tote an extra full-sized wheel. I've eliminated mine (in favor of a big sub) but keep it around in case I go 100's of miles away from all my tires!
I find that flipping the hand latch manually after you lower the hood into position makes the last pushing-down part require significantly less effort (and therefore less stress on the hood). Not required and probably a function of the exact set-up/adjustment, but wouldn't be bad to try the...
Yes, I'm registered for the NASA thing.....had temporarily forgot that you were CHINning this weekend. I'll try to stop up and say hey.
Enjoy the new shoes!
You should shoot for 35-37 hot. I've found that if you measure the pressures after coming in, you've already lost a pound or two so I try to get 35 in the paddock (or 37 if I'm lucky enough to talk someone into taking pressures and temps in the hot pit. If you get to 40+ the car will slide...
BTW, my only data on the A6s come from the group of C5Z guys here that do get 8-10 sessions out of a set running 10-15 minutes sessions. Vipers and C5Zs may handle them differently - looking for your impressions of 'em.
Thanks for the pic. I figured it was a console deal since you really can't access any of that stuff from underneath. I'll pull the console and have a look to see what's wrong.
Agreed, get new shorter ones and press them in....you will definitely degrade the current ones by cutting them down.
Or you could go with something like this which accommodates longer studs...
Not to distract from the thread, but how do you use the A6s? I use R6s and pretty much run them until they cord....I've heard that the A6s don't like more than a couple of laps (I run TTU in the SE so a couple of laps is fine); but if you have experience running them for 15-20 minutes at a time...
